Time to do some more cutting on the rear fenders:

Jonni and I are gonna add some bracing tomorrow, connect the front hoops to the cage, rear hoops to the cage, and then start cycling the suspension for clearance.

Shot of the rear 4 link, need to do some trimming on the body to make sure the upper links clear during compression:

Jonni built the bracing for the coilover hoops:

Used these joints to make it removable, and Jonni did some tig welding to get them in there:

I trimmed the inner fenders and threw the MCE Flexible Fenders back on to check clearances:

Started moving the rear suspension around and ended up cutting a bit of the frame:

Jonni boxed it in, built a cross brace and added some more tube work.

Just about full bump:

We will be using MCE Flexible Fenders on the front, but since we pushed the rear front so far I didn't like the huge gap between the fender and the tire so after talking with Jason and Mike I cut my brand new fenders:

Shortened vs original:

It's just about 3 inches but It looks better then having a huge gap between the tire and the fender.

Yup just waiting on wheels to show up. Rich at Driveline Service in Bellingham is lengthening one of the shafts and getting me a new yoke for the t case. :awesomework:

There are a few in here Tony...

Shot of the rear Clayton 4 link all finished up and painted:

The frame cutouts and bracing behind them:

This track bar mount...You're gonna want to fishplate the ever-livin' dog snot out of it, or it will rip the factory frame apart eventually, especially if using the bottom mounting hole...wouldn't hurt to do it to the extended section either...:awesomework:

Done, Devin from Fearless Fabrication came by yesterday and today and made huge progress on the front end with us. Paint is drying as we speak, then it's off to install more parts and head to Moab monday morning.

Nice choice for local location shake down run :redneck::awesomework:

Got back from EJS at 4am this morning, had a great time and figured out what else we need to do. Right now my spring rate is at 150/200 F/R but I am going to bring it down to around 125/175 F/R so I can get the proper preload on the springs but still keep the stance I want.

I also need to add some sway bars so we will be shopping around for those.

Great choice in tires. I have the original Pro Comp X-treme MTs on my Fj40, just put the X-treme MT2's on the tow rig. How did they perform at MOAB?

I was pleasantly surprised by them. I bought them last minute because they were priced right and we could get them on short notice after something else fell through. We will see how they do back here at home once we get them on some wet trails.:awesomework:
