Would looked gooder if i towed it home :fawkdancesmiley:
Spill the beans... what happened?
Lemme guess........injection pump.:corn:
That's the first thing that comes to my mind when I see a 24 valve on a trailer... :redneck:
But with 10k miles on a new pump? :eeek:
Why not?
But with 10k miles on a new pump? :eeek:
I really doubt it. More likely has something to do with his recent additions/upgrades. Recent as in 1 day old. We dropped it off at the shop, hopefully he'll hear back from them today.
What condition was/is the lift pump in?
100%, I could hear it running when he attempted to start it just for the hell of it.
Just because you can hear it running doesn't mean that it is providing the required volume or pressure.
You have to test the fuel line pressure at the fitting on the Injection Pump.
If the VP44 died after 10k miles then it was probably a bad rebuilt pump to begin with or the truck has fuel pressure issues.
But we don't know yet if it's the VP44 or not. He's got fuel all the way to the injectors.
so Shane does this mean that your toyota is running again? or did you unload it before tearing it apart?
Ok...I thought you allready figured it was the VP44.
Got any codes off it yet?
