Text Spammers???

How the **** do you block these asshats or get on a "Do Not Call" type list?

I've gotten no less than 100 in the past week. And all say text "Stop" to stop. Well thats doesnt work, because they hit you from 50 different phone numbers. And take the reply text as they have a live line

Anyone know how to stop this ****, or even how my number got on a list? I dont use it anywhere to register for anything.

I get some like that at very random times. I can go weeks without getting them and then boom I may get 5 or 6 in day. I do not reply, I just delete it. I figure if I reply they will know it is a working number. I have registered my cell number recently on the do not call list and I seem to have not gotten any since then.

Yep, I dont reply. And my number is on the Do Not Call list, but that hasnt mattered. Mine's been the same as you Joel. I got a bunch a couple months back, then a few weeks ago, got a few. Then last week is just BLEW UP!!!

I had started getting telemarketer calls and that is when I did the do not call list. I have not had calls since then. It is actually about time to get some text though. I will see if any come in the next week or so, it has been a while since I got any. I always wonder, does anyone actually respond to those things??

I confirmed with the "Do Not Call" list that I shouldnt be getting the Spam Text, so I'd have to fill out complaints against every number. I may do a handful, but seems like a total waste of my time.

I have gotten 1 of those spam messages, my response included every dirty word I know directed at the sender's mother :****: Haven't got another one.

Who have you pissed off recently Wyatt? Giving somebody's cell number to a bangalese spam text bot sounds like an awesome way to get even with somebody.

I dont see anyone to piss off (aside from my wife), so it would have had to be online, and I dont think that has happened. But it has crossed my mind, I'm a bad conspiracy theorist.

Yep, AT&T. I walked over to their store at lunch and they said there's nothing they can do. I havent gotten any since about 7:30 this morning, so maybe all the "Work From Home" asshats that do this BS are actually at their real jobs.

I think I did it online, its been a while so I cant really remember. I heard Clark Howard talk about on the radio so I tried it and it worked.

Reminds me of the time I got blackmailed by three judges who were in white-collar prison. I simply answered one ad from a questionable magazine and they threatened to tell my wife and everyone else. Oh wait, that was a book I read "The Brethren" by John Grisham. Now that I think of it, it's pretty good you should read it.
As to the numbers they're all most likely from the same source, but the homework to find out who it is is also a pain in the ass. Usually ignoring it works, but if not cancel your subscription to "Cocks and Throbbers."
