I kind of thought "damn now I want to go night snow wheeling" since we know they are ok.

I know what you mean; I was literally heading out the door when Karl called to tell me that Mike was ok. Now I want to go snow wheeling even more then I did before. Guess I'll be more motivated now to finish the trailer.

I'm sure he is having a ball. He's kind of nuts like his father and liking all that cold white stuff up there.

We just got back from a winch fest towards the top of Evans on the trail north of the log pile along the hillside (can't remember which trail number) and yah some tuff going up there today. That is what we live for!!! Had a great time!!!

Im glad they have been located. We were driving around up there for about 6 hours. The snow is great, powdery, but lots of traction. With the full moon and no clouds, we could see really far from the lookouts. We left at about 12:30, and there was a Dodge pickup with an empty trailer in the parking lot and a flatbed car hauler parked by the tall bridge, so I figured people were still on the trails.

Im finally home and very tired. What a night. My rear drive line boltrs rattled lose and the driveline came off at the t case and smashed my muffler and muffler mount. I noticed that the left rear wheel was walking around as we were driving....The damn wheel spacer came loose (Or i forgot to tighten it:haha: )......Got that fixed and back on the trail we went. We ran the 311 and 311b in less than 20 minutes. I hit a tree with my left front and bent a lower link. Then on the 520 one of my wheels are leaking or the tire but i ended up getting a flat. Swapped the flat to the rear so i could steer and drove out on the 197. Got back to the parking lot to see that X joe and toy bug made it back. So it pretty much turned out to be a night run for nothing.

Home safe, cold and wet

Thanks for everyone's concern. It started out as a 3 hour tour, a 3 hour tour. Then the snow was so much fun and ran into the Seattle Jeep club.

We ran 520, it had not been run for awhile based on the snow on the trail. Evans parking lot only had a few inches, but 520 had about 2 feet. and 3 to 4 feet were it slide off the hill and made some nasty side hills. We we doing pretty good and until the open are just before the rock garden. it was early so we pressed on. After getting to the rocks we had spent enough time we just didn't want to run back. after the rocks you are in the trees but there is a nice 250 open section that had enough snow for us to almost turn back. it keep getting later and later but we decided we were go to push thur and open the 520. we end up showeling a few trenches. even with winches you couldn't keep the ass end up on the trail. we were about 300 yard from the end and had a rig slide off and then another. climbing the deph heavy snow side to get hooked up takes awhile. great we a out. then 100 yard from the end someone loses both beads.

It has been a long wet and cold day but the snow was a blast :rockon:. Only reget was wish i had phone service to let my wife know everything was ok. Sorry you and other came up dirtball.

But i will be ready for next weekend for the hangover run. bump to pass right crash.:awesomework:

i just want to say thanks to JP, Brian (not brain) Corey & his S.O. ( sorry forgot your name and Mud Pig (?) & family from Fort Lewis who i met waiting at the Burnett Chevron for JP & Brian. He was willing to turn around & go back up, Wife & two little girls in tow to help out.
and Karl and all who were willng to drop everything to help out a fellow wheeler without a second thought. this sport rock!!!

if only we could get this organized and one minded on all our problems we would be unstopable!!!

just a side note:
got home at 1:00am
got call from Karl and let him know all was well
had to recount the whole nights events to wife to calm her fears
decompressed until 1:30
fell asleep around 1:45
got a call from ScramblerMike around 2:00 saying he was now home
F&^%$#* carbon monixide detector goes off at 4:45 with low battery warning siren..... damnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!
got back to sleep only to have two dogs on my chest saying "hey asswipe, time to feed me!"
finally got up at 5:30 (gave up is more the word)
read the thread
and now have to get ready to go the the Seahawks game with Karl and yell my lungs out......

I DID read every post on here, I woke up to Crash's forum wide email. imediately got on here and started reading..... I know there's nothing I could do but that's my old backyard and would've been there in a second if I was still up there. I would've been there in a second even if to snow wheel, but S & R? Hell yea.

Glad all are OK and the you guys/gals all pulled together to get this done. :awesomework:

On a side note, maybe the SO's should be familiar with these sites so when this type of help is needed they can use the forum for help. Mine will learn today, although she's usually with me.

Glad everyone is ok. But man you gotta find a way to let your wife know if you are out playing later than planned, especially in conditions like this. She had SAR, the sheriff and a bunch of people from this site out looking for you. I feel really sorry for making your wife worry like that. She deserves better.
