i need an earlier start than 4pm just in case:booo:

Not the way the group I was in went over it.....straight over the top, no winching involved, the fancy part is the 4 or so foot vertical drop off the backside.

Nobody on Maxxis tires has attempted that ledge yet unless it happened today. I'm sure they will work fine once it happens.:awesomework:

This is the rock Nates talking about. Porter went straight up the rock like he was glued to the rock front dug at the top and went around the back side of it :redneck:

This pic was taken out of the outlet mall tread see date on pic.

Right rock wrong line. The line we're talking about goes straight up the middle and over the top. I only know it hadn't been done because when I did it there was virgin moss covering the whole top half. Not a big deal it's just another fun part of the trail.

That was the line porter took he just didn't go over the top. He bounced onto the rock and I don't think he lost traction at all.

I was very impressed by the tires when he did it.

If you look real close in the picture (it look's decieving) you can see porter's track's are about 5 feet from the top of the rock. About where the moss start's is about when your rear tires begin to leave the ground and start climbing rock. I'm sure he could have done it that day, and probably yesterday, but now the combination of moss and grease along the bottom half of that rock from people riding along the bottom make for an un walkable piece of rock that requires some fancyness to get up on. Until he does it..... it's crawler only:fawkdancesmiley: I was a way's up the trail when another person tried to make it a non krawler only rock, I missed a sweet picture of the bottom side of a buggy:rolleyes:

I thought about dropping off that rock, but it was said that the drop was pretty good and not being able to look at it first I followed Maulers line. I bounced up the rock to the top(between the 2 stumps), and at that point front dug and rode the top ridge to the high side. Second time through I got up a little on the rock and slid thru the V-notch. I do have to say though that fitting thru the V-notch wasnt an easy task and got very tippy, next time it looks like I will hit the drop off.:D

Incorrect dude, as I almost drove over the edge on accident. There was a guy standing at the top and he about **** himself as i almost ran his **** over. The Creepys were the first to the top. The Creepys were also the first to the top of the double bump two lines ahead. So there sucka, facts for ya.:fawkdancesmiley: Not thats it a big deal or anything but I thought I would correct your misinformed ass.:D

The track's in the pic are clear as day......sucka.....study up:kissmyass:

You didn't go over the top, decided against it or not, krawler's are the only thing over the top:fawkdancesmiley:

I would also like to add that in my opinion the 40" creepy crawler is the best 40 out there (seriously), or any Maxxis for that matter (plugging maxxis as my team is sponsored by them:D ) But I am a firm believer that in wet rock's the Krawler does have the upper hand.

Very intense looking trail, great pics...thanks for sharing

Can someone share the specs on the leaf-sprung rig that made the trail? Wheelbase, width, tire size? I believe I saw a pic early on, can't seem to locate the pic now. Does it also have some type of steering assist?

It was Jonathan's (Cascade Crawler) one ton YJ. He has a build thread on here. I wanna say 104-105 wb with slightly narrowed 60s and 42" Iroks. Yes he has full hydro with a Northern Tool ram.

Johnny's build thread... http://www.nw-wheelers.com/forum/showthread.php?t=20694

[EDIT]: Oh yeah, and for the curious... I'd put Jonathan's conquering of the OM at about 75% driver and 25% rig, because I've seen him absolutely spank stuff that i had trouble with when our rigs were set up similar with spring over, locked F/R and a stock T-case (no front digs). He's just a pimp like that. :redneck:

I winched a crap ton and relied much more heavily on spotters than I normally do...

I dont think driver skill had anything to do with my rig getting through, I would like to thank my trusty m8000

that's what the winch is for! it's good to see a leaf sprung vehicle make it through. give's a glimmer of hope for my rig later down the road. i'm sure those leafs just multiplied the heck out of the difficulty and pucker factor! :cheer: congrats on making it!
