The Bamster F**ks up the oath of office

Hardline Crawlers - Rock Bouncer Builds, Tech & Off-Road Trail Talk

Help Support Hardline Crawlers:

I didn't watch the speech or any of the inauguration, I really didn't want to see any more smoke and mirrors. I did watch a little bit of the celebration that was televised tonight and it is just completely over the top racial. It's pretty sickening to watch. I just hope it's not four years of this crap.
Do black people make you nervous?

Didnt you just LOVE the way Barry the Bamster botched the oath of office this morning! If any republican ****ed up the oath of office they'd NEVER live it down. Dan Quayle misspelled Potato and he NEVER lived it down.

You know what's funny here....As much as you hate this guy and as deep as you're grasping for reasons to hate him more this is the worst thing you can come up with?
Pathetic.

Even better since he didn't even bother to fact check his bull**** before he spewed it out for our benefit.

Pathetic to you. Fine. Oh there's way more I can come up with on this jack ass. The point was what happened today. If you want to talk history I can fill pages on this thread. But what's the point. The sheep that voted for him because of his color, and because he can read a teleprompter wont listen. Obviously they didnt listen in the first place when they wet themselves running to the voting booth to cast their vote.

I don't hate him, he's a foolish, arguably dangerous idealog. I HATE his bankrupt, backwards proven wrong everywhere/everytime its been tried pathetic political ideology.

Ive worked in Russia. Ive worked in Ukraine. Ive worked in the
Czech republic. Ive spent days in small quiet bars late at night talking with people who lived in/through socialist/communist government oppression. Ive spent months in Sweden and other socialist nations.

How many examples of a failed political ideology do we need before we give up socialist communism? Russia and other former socialist nations are collectively moving to the right while we continue (with examples like the Bamster) to move to the left.

We didnt fight a 60 year cold war against the Soviet Union just to put one of their guys in our highest office.:looser:

nope, I don't need to defend the guy as much as you like to complain about him. I just have more hope that someone could do good instead of evil.

Do you really think I would go on and on like the rest of you if McCain was chosen? I wouldn't care, what's done is done and now you should hope for the best.

I think that if McCain had won it would be reasonable to have certain expectations of how he might behave and govern based on his known record.

What is wrong about doing the same with Obama?

I and most others do hope for the best. You simply too myopic to see that. And hoping for the best doesn't mean sticking your head in the sand, living a la-la land, or ignoring reality.

You seem to be taking quite a bit of liberty with some of these assumptions you are making.

I often quote that line to people who think things like the Patriot Act and the absurd security requirements at the airport are in the best interest of our Country. I'm not sure what (il)logical leap lead you to think I was implying anything about trading liberty for security.

I was simply stating that in the grand scheme of things worrying about whether or not I might lose access to public lands for recreation was lower on my priority list of possible things that could happen. There are many more other things that the new president will be trying to fix and I will be just as pissed as you will be if these are the kind of things they try to do, if only for the waste if time it will be.

Would I support a surefire way to fix the health care system if it required me to give up driving through the woods in my Jeep? Absolutely!

That sounds an awful lot like a willingness to trade liberty for security to me. Anyone else?

I did not watch any of it either. But I never watch them anyhow, so it had nothing to do with Obama.

I will say that he missed a stellar opportunity to set an example of sacrifice that he expects many of us to make. He could have given an awesome speech about what a grand party he could have, but that in these difficult times it was simply not a responsible thing to do and he would rather see the money used to help people suffering from our economic conditions. That would have been real change and probably impressed the socks off of even his biggest detractors. But no, looks like business as usual.

What do you think would be said IF 98% of white people voted for McCain?
Im pretty sure racism would be screamed everywhere continuously by blacks and the communist democrat left.

So, what should we call it that 98% of black people voted for the Bamster?
If we endeavor to be consistent and not hypocritical then we'd have to say that
blacks were/are whatever racist during this election.

Just a thought.

Uh, Democrats?

Maybe you should try using that Pol Sci degree and look up some statistics, Blacks have always voted Democrat, hell 4 years ago 88% of black voters voted for a white man, just because he wasn't a Republican.

I'm curious what percentage of the people, like you, voted for McCain simply because he was white.

Edit: It was 95% of blacks that voted Democrat this year, not 98%. Maybe you should spend less time trying to get your facts from FOX news and try thinking for yourself sometime.

I also hear that a loaf of bread is the mother of an airplane........... Surely you're old enough to remember that Abbot and Costello routine that revolves around the saying about necessity being the mother of invention. Well, a loaf of bread is a necessity and an airplane is an invention, so then it must be true.

If you want to apply those definitions and say that wheeling is a liberty and having a solid health care system equals security, then yes, I would give up wheeling so that we could have affordable/accessible health care. It would be my preference that we have both, but one is obviously way more important than the other and I would put my personal hobby aside for the betterment of the Country. The question is, why wouldn't you.

Suppose a doctor said you had to give up eating fast food to save your life. Would you be so defiant then?

I really don't know why we are arguing over such a silly hypothetical anyways, but I'm sure you'll come up with some way of twisting this post around so that I fit into whatever mold you have decided I should fit into.

Are you the fat one or the skinny one?

To shine a different light on this, the money was spent hiring people and companies to do services. Money is spent on airlines, food, clothing etc, that "working people" and "small business" as well as "big business" benefit from. Here's where I disagree with the money spent on the inauguration... Do you really think it's better to GIVE the money to people who are suffering or PAY the people who are out there working to earn it? Personally, I'd much rather see the money go to those who earn it. Our economy is contracting further because money isn't being spent, by individuals and businesses.

Even all those parties involve paying catering companies, waiters and waitresses, bartenders and cooks, hotels, maids, busboys, taxi cab drivers etc etc. I would be REALLY ticked if he decided to cancel the party, have a simple swearing in to make it legal and GIVE them money that would have been spent to sectors of our population that didn't earn the money.

Because I do not believe that socialism will better our country. It will only further bankrupt it. Entitlement programs are already killing us. We need fewer of them, not more of them.

Suppose a doctor said you had to give up eating fast food to save your life. Would you be so defiant then?

No.

But I also would not force you or anyone else to stop eating fast food along with me.

And that is apparently how we differ.

You are willing to trade your liberties AND mine to get what you want.

It appears that my earlier assumptions were indeed correct.

That's a good, no,make that great perspective.

I think it's better to earn money than to simply be given it.

That being said, I still think he blew an opportunity to demonstrate real change.

Change is innevitble and many times it's good. I don't consider that sticking my head in the sand. I'm just open to more options then you. You can call me all the things you can possibly come up with. It won't make any difference in what has happened or what will happen.

Best post of the thread...

*out on a limb*

Conservatives believe everyone is inherently good and can therefore manage themselves. Liberals believe everyone is inherently bad and therefore we need big government to keep the peace.

Ok, i'm way off topic. But anywho..<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Why do we need the government micromanaging our lives? I don't think the government can spend our money as well as we can. I think people can make their own decisions. If the money stays in your paycheck you can spend it on "things" you feel are necessary for you and your family. Instead of the government taking our money and giving it to the "needy", or say large mega corporations who

Is it a reading comprehension problem or are you just dense?

I said I would give up my hobby if I was told it would make life better for other people. I would not, however, support anything that took that choice away from other people. I would make that sacrifice, but would not support something that required other people to do it. There is a difference there.

You must get tired from carrying that chip around on your shoulder

It must be a comprehension problem. I just can't comprehend the logic that the sacrificing of liberties will be limitied to any one individual or even group in exchange for the security of all. But that's mighty noble of you to offer to take one for the team under a scenario that you know is impossible. Gee, I'd give up my guns if it meant that Obama would sprout wings and fly around the world spreading pixie dust and bringing peace and prosperity to all. Meanwhile, back in the real world...

If I'm carrying a chip around, it can't possibly be as fatiguing as that cross you are carrying.

...I've read Marx and Lennon...
I've read McCartney and Lennon, but who is this Marx guy? The fifth Beatle?

It's too bad Lenin died in '24... if he'd survived a few more decades, we could crack McCartney/Lennon vs. McCarthy/Lenin jokes. That would be fun!

Whatever, dude.
You come across like fourteen-year-old girl who got her cell phone taken away for using it to run a phone-sex business :corn:

:haha:I like that, I LOL'd

Life's about priorities. My logic says that, to me, some specific liberties are less important than some securities. You simply can't have liberty without security. Are ALL liberties more important than ANY security?

I just love how WHITE people were insulted during this morning as well. "When brown can stick around" "When yellow will be mellow" "When the red man can get ahead man" "When white will embrace what's right" As if white people havent embraced and done what's right lately??!? **** you asshole. We (WHITE PEOPLE) elected your sorry ass president didnt we?

Some great start to the next four years!:looser::looser::looser::looser::looser::looser::looser::looser::looser::looser::looser::looser::looser::looser::looser::looser::looser::looser::looser:

I sure hope the rest of your christian friends at church share your tolerance.

Yes, it is about priorities.

Should you buy a new winch or health insurance?

A trophy house or health insurance?

A really cool vacation or health insurance?

Should you stay at a job without benefits or look for one with them?

Should you have savings to cover emergency, unplanned expenses or unemployment?

Is it okay to be funneling money into a truck to make it needlessly more powerful while the state picks up the bill for your child to be born?

Seems to me that many people, particularly supporters of government subsidized health care who post on a website about something as non-essential as offroading, have spoken loud and clear about what their priorities are. They want to do whatever they want and let someone else pay for their irresponsible behavior.

No, not every single liberty is more important than security. Health care is not a matter of national security. And it's not the government's job to babysit us.
