Posted by Jacquie Powers
Sunday, November 22nd, 10:00 am - 6:00 pm
Sun. Nov. 22nd. Meet 10 am at the Monroe "smoke stack".

Join local Reiter Foothills expert Mike Town as we venture into the Reiter Foothills. Learn the history behind the Reiter Foothills and enjoy many "hidden gems" the forest has to offer. Witness the destruction ORV overuse and abuse has caused in this magnificent area. Highlights include a vista of Wild Sky Wilderness from the top of the Index Town Wall. Moderately paced 6-8 mile hike with a 1,200 foot elevation gain. Bring good rain gear, sturdy boots, all ten essentials and non-cotton clothing. For more information see: http://www.dnr.wa.gov/Publications/a...tion_sheet.pdf).

Sign up and carpool information: Tom Crisp at [email protected] or 425-737-0350.

WTF IS THIS ****?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its ok for those greenie *****es to slander US? :flipoff:

****ING PUNKS!!!!!!!!!!!

I wish I could make it over there. What needs to happen is a few level-headed wheelers need to tag along with this group to provide a counter-point. If folks only hear or see one side they go away with very specific ideas.

yah but how many of us can hike 6-8 miles and gain 1200 ft?

No offense but most of my past off-road groups needed 'rigs' to take them up a mountain

:haha:

You can counter point all you want when the place really does look like a **** hole. You're not going to change the minds of people like this. The best thing we could do as a group is stop tearing it up and fix what's wrong now.....
Or just not care about a hikers opinion.

I think this is the same group that was taking pictures of us on BYS. :looser:

It would be funny if dozens of wheelers showed up and outnumbered the Sierra clubbers. :haha:

I'd do it, but i don't like Reiter. Or wheeling.

Cause its true.

ORV use tears **** up..... now folks just need to get over it. Then realize that one good "natural" mudslide does the same damn thing ten fold (look at Rainer's "protected" forest this year as an example... and all the poor little fishes.

Compared to plowing and paving for a Walmart or REI, we really aren't all that bad :awesomework:
