I know but someone had to make the statement. :redneck: But when the NCAAP gets involved and they start using the race card, it kinda blows everything out of porportion.
 
I agree the Police Officer was fully justified in his actions and displayed a great deal of restraint in how he handled the problem and should be commended.

The youth of today have no respect for Police Officers or any kind of authority, but before you place all the blame on the youth, look at their parents and grandparents as that is where the real fault lies.

Parents who are not real parents that make the effort to teach their kids right from wrong and respect for the law are the blame and we all suffer because of it.
 
I think the cop did his job well!

On the news, they were interviewing one girls grandma, and apparently one of he girl's name is "Angel" (if not, then it was something really close), and the grandma even said the girl was just that, an Angel...
Some people need to pull thier head out of thier ass...

I really hope this doesn't turn out bad for that cop.
 
the only issue i have is with the entire jay walking thing. in todays world of violence why does a cop even bother with a jaywalker. IMHO Jaywalking should be absolutly last on the list of things we are actually gonna enforce.:stirpot:

with that said the girl was typical unrespectful teenager who needs some lessons in life.....:looser:

i mean i jay walk a hundred times a day and will continue to do so.

i think the cop was an ASSHOLE to even bother her in the first place or to be bothering the first guy he was trying to arrest for jaywalking.

so with that all said i believe we as a people have the right to police our police departments policys as to what thier prioritys are and jaywalking is not one of them.:flipoff:

If they were assulting the officer. then this is setting a precidence.
Next time a woman grabs you by the arm.. Punch her in the face.
cause she assulting you too.




Now, i'm not saying the cop was wrong, but common.. he was being assulted?
I had a cop get rougher than that with me when i was 16 and i did what i was told. (rougher than the woman wasto the cop)
 
African-American women are animals.......I mean literally ANIMALS under confrontation of white men. Especially a white police officer.

The environment caused the real issue here.......she was being dominated in front of her "environment". 2 control freaks meet (3 if you count her misguided friend) and this will happen 9 times out of 10.

I'm on the officers side on this one to. Whos to say they weren't carrying a gun? He was justified in using force after they started shoving him. I would have pulled out the tazer an shot them both! then reloaded it an shot them again.

Because it's an ongoing safety issue for both pedestrians and drivers.

What if you are driving and an oncoming car swerves into your lane and hits you to avoid hitting a jaywalker?

I'd be willing to bet a pint that the officer did not originally intend to make an arrest, but rather have a little lecture about safety and the law and blah blah and be on his way. You notice the whole group crossed, but only one was arrested for jaywalking (I assume the other was arrested for obstructing). If the girl had just STFU for a minute, nobody would have been punched or given a free ride down town. As far as I'm concerned, if you turn a simple lecture by an officer into a free for all by refusing to be talked to, you deserve whatever you get.

It may also be that he's been lecturing her for years about jaywalking. Who knows. What I do not believe is that he saw some girl jaywalk for the first time in her life and decided to throw her in the poky over it. Not a chance.

I am willing to bet there have been problems with kids being hit, near misses and maybe car accidents all related to Jay Walking at this location and that promted the school to request more enforcement.

There is a Overhead walk way at 130th and Aurora Ave N in Seattle and I have seen jaywalkers almost hit there several times because they are too lazy to use the overhead walkway, with the mistaken belief that pedestrians have the right of way at all times and places.

It did seem like it took forever to get her cuffed... this is why little people shouldnt be cops..lol.. he also shoulda punched her harder,and knocked her the **** out...also shoulda tazed the camera man... he was right she was wrong... but i do think he should have gotten her faster... he is lucky none of them grabbed his gun :rolleyes:

I concur... that situation could've gotten really ugly and that lil cop is SUPER lucky it didn't. He needs to work on his 'take down' maneuvers a bit though.

X2. He would of been smart to pull his tazer or gun & direct people to step back so that he could proceed with the arrest of the one girl. I would have been worried myself with that many people around and being by myself as it could have turned real ugly if another person got involved.

Its really don't matter that you think the jay walking law is not necessary, for now it is against the law to jay walk.

So when you get confronted by a cop for jay walking just tell him to fawk off and try to walk away, then let us know how that works out for you....

The cop did what needed to be done, why would these young girls think its fine to ignore the officers request to stop, and then to put hands on him.

Bad parenting is what I'm guessing...:looser:
 
Yea, one cop around all those people in an aggravated situation... I would have had much less control over myself. Especially w/ a gun and Tazer on my belt... And it is AWESOME seeing no one try to help the officer...
 
i bet even if she had had a weapon on her and he punched her all the black rights people would still be all but hurt. its bull he did the RIGHT thing and he did it in a calm matter.

Nobody wanted to help because he was the only white person around. I would have tazed them both no questions, maybe pepper spray.. I would have atleast tackled her to the ground he seemed like he should work out and get some man strength however. Either way i would had used something from my arsenal. White black mexican whatever.. ARE YOU SERIOUS?? I bet the cop loses his job over this sh!t too. :eeek:
