They've been in business for 15 or 16 years. I have a feeling when I give my 2 weeks I'll get canned right there. But they may hold on and make me do the 2 weeks. Traditional Midas was to offer you more money to stay. That's not what I'm going after. I want a job closer to home and better hours.

Just make sure (if you don't know the folks at this new venture possibility) you can get along with them...

I remember when I gave my notice after close to 18 years at the same place. The new ownership drug me into a meeting and tried everything to get me to stay. I was in the same boat after that many years of driving roughly 40 miles one way I had enough.

I'd go for it!

If I never had to work for a big nationwide company again I would be very happy, I've been happiest at the small companies.

Thinking about this too. Need to talk to Peanut first to get the scoop. Don't want to jump from the fry pan to the fire! (yes, this is my first post in a long time. Life's been getting in the way)

If i could find a job NOT traveling, and make the same money i do now, YES i would jump ship.

Only benefit i have with the company i work for, is i do what ever the hell i want to do.

I hope you shave while you wait, as you would look silly with a long white beard....

I'm still working so I have to shave everyday, besides I don't have a gray beard, its black, blonde,&red.

Well I just got the car. I have to go in Monday and discuss pay and starting date.

I'm scared but I'd be stupid not to switch.
