Not much :booo:

Exactly.

I feel as though some of you guys are being a little hard on ty for participating in the same things the majority of people on here brag about on an ongoing basis. But just because the words "demo wheeling" are thrown in there, it automatically becomes horrible.

Fwiw, I'm not saying what they did is right or wrong. It's not my style. Is it fun to watch? Hell yeah. Is it putting any more bad light on our sport than anyone else? Probably not.

a quick definition: Demo wheeling. To beat a P.O.S. rig until it can no longer make any forward, or rearward progress on its own power. Thus rendering said vehicle effectively "dead".

This "demo wheeling" can be done without damaging a trail, a tree, or a person. Some rigs are just ready to die. We merely aided in the inevitable.

Seems like width restrictions are on the way. Are we going to accept RPM restrictions? Damage to your own vehicle restrictions? Rules that state a tire must never leave the ground? Heavy fines for bottoming out on rocks?

It`s really basic, just don`t share Your wheeling trip`s as there will always be someone here to twist it around for ya. I`m sure they are perfect in every way! just not so humble.

I don't care what somebody does as long as there is no trace left behind.

The only down side is if its "excessive"(demo wheeling) and TY I am pretty sure you know that boundry line onlookers may get the wrong idea about what you are out there doing.

Quick question though--I assume you were trying to kill the rig--did you have oil recovery equipment ready?

Yes and no. Theres a big differance from Corys action to what Ty posted. Corey was just up wheeling did something stupid (by some accounts) and broke his rig. Ty and his buddys planned a entire trip out of try to destroy a rig (beat it to death) in a park already under a micropscope. I would have thought that Ty would have been smart enough to know that this wasnt a good idea in the first place :booo:

The actual grand finally was at about 3:eek:o am with no onlookers, but those invited. We where careful to run straight water. I had the basic rags along. As far as my friend who was scrapping the rig, I will admit, that I don't know.

Yes, I am guilty as charged. This was an impromptu night mission, that upon invitation, I gave in temptation.

But you understand what I was getting at?

I agree with this to a point, but I still say there is not that much difference in the actions (not the breakage, but the actions leading to it). Both can be viewed as harmful to the sport, that is the point I was trying to convey.

Sorry, so long to reply.

Yes, I understand, and respect your point.

Also, to adress Pokey. I see your point, I just will not live my life in a hyper sensitive state, always worried about what someone else is going to think. Sure we all need to use some basic judgment, and common sense. But, we should do that becouse that is what is right, not becouse that is what someone trying to keep you in line says is right.

Its actions like this that have created the "Hyper sensitve state" Everytime we go to the table to defend our sport and our right to it someone throws out reports of stupid shenanigans like this one.:booo:

I've taken cars/trucks out to give them a proper 'funeral', and I defend my actions of having fun.

From someone who has to go pick up the crap people play with, then leave behind, if you're dragging the vehicle out when you're done with it, awesome. This is pretty much the line I've gotten from DNR as well.

I think Horus' ZJ is a good example of a rig that has been, over time, beat to **** on these trails. It doesn't really matter if it takes 3 years or 3 hours, rocks don't really care :;

Wheel on Ty.:awesomework:

For sure.:D

Thats funny.. I saved that little what the looking face as what the (all one word) in my smilies.. So because that is your screen name is what the, that pic came up.:redneck:

Your point was pretty blunt. I doubt anyone missed it.

I was being both sarcastic, and, in a round about manner, making a second point.

Ok got ya. I have wheeled it at night a number of times. I have been out on the trail after darkness due to busted up rigs/trying to get them to camp.

So what is it that makes "demo wheeling" (which has yet to be defined) any worse than posting up carnage pics of a broken d60 from doing front digs in the parking lot of elbe hills? :stirpot::corn:

Well thats how some people roll. Its all about pointing out others to detract attention from your self...
