Help Support Hardline Crawlers:

Anyone have any good recipes for oriental type food like egg rolls, pot stickers, tempura, general tsaos chicken or anything like that?

Always try to make stuff like the restraunts but it never works out :booo:

We make some WICKED homemade Won-Tons... :awesomework:

But don't really have a recipe for it... we just make em, and they ALWAYS turn out awesome!

I'll play.

Spicy bacon fried rice for me tonight. Farm fresh eggs, delicious mushrooms, and corn bathed in a medley of spices, hots, and Worcestershire; then BOOM!! BACON pwnes all and makes the fried rice it's *****!

And yes, the rice was fried in bacon fat :gunz:

This was last nights dinner, but since there was so much it is tonights dinner too!

Started with a 4 pound pork roast... cooked it in the crock pot all day w/ the good seasonings and stuff...

Removed any fat, and shredded it in a big pan.

Added 2 bottles of Jack Daniels BBQ Sauce...

Somebody said tempura???:redneck:

I made Fish Dogs and Home Taters for me and the boys...

Cut up some tater rounds...

Here's a trick for ya... Drop a popcorn kernel in your oil, when it pops your oil will be at 350*...

1111101443.jpg

Fry up the taters... Slide them in one at a time and they wont stick together as much...

1111101452.jpg

Cut up a cod fillet into jumbo hotdog sizes...

1111101444.jpg

Here's my tempura batter... A couple eggs, about a half a cup each of pancake mix and flour, season with salt and pepper and add small amounts of water as you mix until it's runny like your gonna pour pancakes on the griddle...

1111101447.jpg

Coat the fish really well with batter and fry for about ten minutes...

1111101450.jpg

1111101509.jpg

Served on a hotdog bun with tartar sauce and homemade fry sauce for the taters...

anyone here make hot dog animals for their kids? Its a big hit, we make people, octopus, aligators, things like that. what you do is cut them, and after you boil the hot dogs they swell and turn into various things. I'll try to post a pick as its hard to explain. You'll instantly be the coolest dad out of all your kids friends.

So tonight I made a *****in dinner...

Started w/ chopping up some red taters and some red pepper..

Dinner11-15-20106.jpg

Cooked the taters on fairly high heat w/ a little olive oil, some salt, pepper, Mrs Dash, and basil for a bit to crisp them on the outside, then turned the heat down...

Dinner11-15-20105.jpg

Put a few pounds of Halibut in a stoneware pan w/ some salt, pepper, garlic, basil, and some butter... this cooked at 425 for 15 minutes.

Dinner11-15-2010.jpg

Had some leftover potato buns in the cupboard that needed used before they went bad, so I buttered them up, added some garlic... and broiled them... when they were almost done I added some Mozz cheese...

Dinner11-15-20102.jpg

Threw the peppers in when everything else had about 7-8 minutes from being done...

Dinner11-15-20104.jpg

Turned out great... Im stuffed...

Nice... Been a while since I've done breaded pork cutlets... That's gonna be in my head for a bit...:awesomework:

I got something hanging out in the fridge for tomorrow...

A couple of good friends of mine bagged some Elk and sent me home with some back strap...

Thanks Donnie and Jeremy...:cheer:

So, never having cooked Elk before, I went back to the basics...

Cut it up into cubes and let it soak over night in Worcestershire sauce...

1116101238.jpg

Cut up some baby red potatoes, green bell pepper, red onion, pineapple and cantaloupe...

1117102128.jpg

Wrapped the Elk in bacon and skewered everything...

1117102144.jpg

1117102157.jpg

Had to broil them because the grill ran out of propane when it was preheating...

1117102241.jpg

Un****ingbelievable...:awesomework:

Glad you like it!

No pics, but tonight was my youngest kids birthday, so it was his dinner choice. We threw a 5.5lb pork roast in the crock pot, let it cook all day, shredded it w/ some seasoning, fried some corn shells, added lime, cilantro, salsa, cheese, etc.. and had some homemade Carnita tacos!

Fantastic!

If you served those out of my bus, that would have been authentic Mezican food...:redneck:
