Missing person

Hardline Crawlers - Rock Bouncer Builds, Tech & Off-Road Trail Talk

Help Support Hardline Crawlers:

Sorry to hear......

Hope they find him but it really is odd, just vanished...

No luck with the dogs sniffing him out? :eeek:

Bammer deal. :booo:
Dogs have been out since yesterday morning.
We've got two gravel pits nearby, both searched, along with some heavily wooded areas, also searched.

Nice neighborhood, everybody looks out for everybody else. Lots of folks walking dogs, and babystrollers. Got a little park with a ballfield (where S&R is now headquartered) that little league uses every spring.

Just a thought, but maybe the crawl space or attic?

Its leaky roof and broken pipe season.

What a helpless feeling. Sorry Tony. :booo:

Hope they find him. A tech I work with was walking a block from his home and was hit by a truck mirror. He flew into the ditch the truck stopped, he heard a guy say he alright and it took off. This was a couple weeks ago. I hope for a happy ending for your neighbor.

I hope they find him. It certainly is worrisome that there has been no trace of him found yet.

Update: (and from a different source)

No trace.
That's what Kitsap County Sheriff's deputies, Washington Explorer Search and Rescue, Kitsap Unit, and family members are saying about clues in the search for Paul E. Breeding, who disappeared from his South Kitsap home sometime Wednesday.
However, the search was refocused on Bethel-Burley Road on Friday afternoon after the sheriff's office was contacted by someone who reported seeing Breeding walking along the road Wednesday morning.

Breeding, 65, was last seen by his wife at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday as he prepared to leave their home in the 1100 block of SE High Ridge Court in a neighborhood about half a mile west of Bethel-Burley Road. He was headed for a class he was taking in Bremerton.
His wife, Sharon, left their home that morning and returned at 2:45 pm to find that her husband's vehicle had never left the garage. A wallet, lunch sack and keys were in his vehicle in the garage, signaling that he had never left for the class, Sharon Breeding said. She looked around the house, but he was nowhere to be found.
Nothing was missing from the house, she said.
"There is nothing missing," she said. "We don't have a clue. It's like he just disappeared."
A retired Marine, Breeding was a happy, stable person, his wife said. He did have an aortic valve replacement last year, and took medicine for his heart. She said her husband is an avid walker, sometimes walking around the neighborhood two or three times a day.
"He loves to walk," she said. "At first I thought he might be out for a walk or something. He has no money on him, no coat."
A missing person report was filed late Wednesday night with the sheriff's office. Breeding was not reported to be despondent or have any other mental health issues.
A search and rescue mission was initiated Thursday morning with a ground search of the area around High Ridge Court.
As of Friday morning, search teams were still looking for Breeding. Six dog teams were in the area, as well as 12 individual searchers. Washington Explorer Search and Rescue volunteer Dr. Ronda Luce said the search was focused in a densely wooded area behind the Breedings' house. She said a back door to the home was unlocked and the dogs initially ran after scent toward the woods Thursday.
So far, the search and rescue teams have found no evidence. Luce said dense underbrush and a lack of wind to help dogs catch a scent made searching slow going.
"The brush is so thick," she said.
Deputy Scott Wilson said the search is classified as a "missing person under suspicious circumstances."
"He was a man of routine," Wilson said. "This seems highly unusual."
Deputy Eric Adams said the sheriff's office sees about a dozen or so missing person cases each year that bring out the Search and Rescue unit. In most cases, he said, the sheriff's office has something to work from. In this case, there is nothing.
"We're literally looking for a guy that just vanished," he said. "By all accounts he was a healthy, stable person."
Breeding is described as a white male, 5-feet-5 and about 150 pounds. He has short, white hair and hazel-colored eyes. His wife said he was last seen wearing a light blue T-shirt and Land's End blue jeans.
Sharon Breeding said they had plans to travel to Eastern Washington this weekend, and her husband had scheduled a meeting with a tax advisor on Monday. For him to plan a meeting, she said, would make her think he had no intention of going anywhere.
Assisting SAR units include Washington Explorer Search & Rescue, Kitsap Unit; All Breed Canine Search & Rescue; and additional resources from Pierce County SAR units.
Anyone who may have seen Breeding, or may have information concerning his whereabouts, is asked to contact Kitsap County Central Communications at 9-1-1 or (360) 308-5400, or Detective Jerry Swayze at (360) 337-4479.

Man thats crappy.

Wonder why the dogs didnt work being he was that close?

Guess it all doesnt matter now. RIP. :booo:

Uh... All this searching and he was 100 yards from his yard? How the hell does that happen? Any ideas on what happened?

I'm betting he had a medical issue, that he was unaware of.
It's really heavy brush, with no wind and a light rain, it was difficult for the dogs to follow the scent.
Paul was a avid walker. We always saw his out and about, always waved, said "hi". Becuase of that, all the neighbors saw him here, there. So after they searched his yard (Wed), then the woods behind the yard, the Search and Rescue crews would get a 'we saw him here' from someone, and kept expanding the search. On saturday morning, I must have seen 8 different dog crews searching, all within a 3 or 4 square mile area.

Finding his body is still a blessing, for his wife to find closure.

Was bummed to see that on the news. I'm guessing he left an outstanding mark on society though, celebrate that and its easier to accept.

I'm sorry to hear about your friend i hope his wife is doing ok considering, a long time local here in moses has been missing for a couple months now and no sign of him or his dog that was with him

Don't know the Luce family.

Paul committed suicide. My co-workers group found him. Too wierd. Always seemed so nice, always smiling.

That's weird. Sorry to here this.
