Its all over the news, a 3rd grade student was shot at Armin Jarh Elementary...

Very sad...

The gun was found in the classroom, another student is being detained...

No information on the condition of the injured student...

News reports the shooting as accidental, but husband of teachers said it was deliberate. New kid, wasn't transitioning well to the new school, brought gun to school, shot kid in stomach at point blank range.

Bet the teacher is now in jeopardy of losing job, because husband talked to news media.

Last I heard/read the gun was in a backpack when it discharged, hit the girl in her arm then entered her abdomen.

According to the teacher's husband, the kid wasn't transitioning to the new school and was a problem. Or at least his wife felt he was going to be. I don't put a lot of weight in to his statement though, it's second hand, one sided, and he had no business talking about the student even without his name involved.

its sad to hear that a little girl was shot, i work in a grade school an left a high school just because of things like this happening, goes to show you never know. hope the lil girl is ok

Sad news for sure.
How did the kid get the gun, and if it did go off in the backpack, why was a loaded/ armed gun within a kids reach?

Yeah, it's kinda been a rough period of time around here.

Supposed Serial killer killing and lurking within 2-3 blocks of our house.
Accidental school shooting
Gorst WSP shooting

I think there was something else too, and of course this all started up and I started getting text messages from my wife about it while I was working KOH.

This is why we need to ban the private ownership of firearms!

So far what I've seen, people are dogging the gun owner, not the gun. silver lining I guess.

Well, except for those hearing about this in liberal land on the other side of the water.

I sure hope that your are kidding.

If not, while you are at it you should also ban....

Freedom of speech ,press, religion, assembly, and pitition of government.

Home owner concent to quarter.

Unreasonable search.

Due process.

Legal defence.

Right to trial.

Reasonable bail.

Human rights.

States rights.

And just in case you are for real, that you want to take peoples guns away, you can have mine.....I'll PM you my address, just let your self in about midnight or so. Don't worry if the lights are off..I'll be waiting.

Blaming a gun for taking a life is like blaming a soldier for killing an enemy. Both are pawns of a master so blame the master not the pawn.

No ****....
I cannot think of a single accidental death caused by a responsable gun owner....period...

And I was worried I wouldn't get anyone with my trolling... :flipoff2:

What do any of those things have to do with the right to bear arms? (Other than their affiliation with the COTUS, of course.)

Go back to North Korea you communist ****.
Wow... a jump straight to communism. That was fast. Quoth the Wiki, "Communism is a social, political and economic ideology that aims at the establishment of a classless, moneyless, stateless and socialist society structured upon common ownership of the means of production." I must have missed something... where in there is the banning of private ownership of firearms?

Then you aren't thinking hard enough. Responsible gun owners can make (and have made) mistakes, too. Or do you define "a responsible gun owner" as one who has never caused an accidental death? In which case, I can say 1 = 1, too.

Responsible gun owners don't allow children un-supervised access to firearms.
Responsible gun owners NEVER point a weapon any someone unless the situation is such that it is warrented.

There are no "mistakes" about it.

So, your definition excludes anybody that makes a mistake. Do you know many people that never make mistakes?

I know if you tried to take my guns away...you would be making a mistake.
Good job avoiding the question. :awesomework:

And in case you missed it the first time, I'll quote myself...

I'm not trying to take anybody's guns away; I'm very pro-2A.

I do, however, disagree with your definition of a "responsible gun owner." People make mistakes. With as many privately owned firearms as we have in this country, even responsible gun owners will make mistakes from time to time.

This is why we need to ban the private ownership of firearms!

And just why would any 2nd rights proponent even think about saying something like that?
Are you just being cute?
Do you think others won't take you at your word?

Or are you just irresponsible?

Apparently I caught a big one!

I'm always cute. :fawkdancesmiley:

I'm sure there are plenty of people that believe everything they read on internet 4x4 forums.

Or are you just irresponsible?
Your non sequitur here makes no sense.
