I cannot think of a single accidental death caused by a responsable gun owner....period...

I am sure it has happened. Just because somebody is trained and responsible doesn't mean things happen. We hear all to often about mistakes from responsible people who become to comfortable and lax and thats when bad things happen.

But I am sure those instances are few....

Responsible gun ownership is important, as it will greatly reduce accidental damage, injuries, death, etc. It won't eliminate them, but we do we can.

One might say that regardless of how responsible someone is prior to the event that allows a child to pick up a gun and back it for school... the second that happens that gun owner was irresponsible.

My daughter went to Santana High School and was friends with one killed, my son is currently a freshman there.

not trying to be an ass on the pot stir, but I know my post is gonna offend someone, jus saying that I would really feel just a little safer if detectors an uniforms were in effect in public schools. We hear about shootings way to often where our kids shud feel the safest.

We kept our rifles and shotguns in our truck rear windows....nobody got shot.
