they CAN be used w/o a belt, but the kydex is well molded and provides a secure grip, so when drawing the pistol, it will probably pull the holster out with it w/o a belt.

a well made sturdy belt helps distribute the load as well as keep it pulled in close.

Is anyone else just staring at Karl's ass?......:masturbanana[1]: OH! uh.... ya, guns.... Nice choice Crash! You'll like it, I like my friends XDM 9mm, I shoot it better than he does :redneck:, If I had the extra cash i'd buy it from him. :redneck: I suggest not one, but several holsters. You will appreciate the variety of carry choices this way. A simple Kydex paddle holster for at the range carry or around the campsite. An IWB for the "deeper" carry, but it might not be comfy while bouncing around in the truck on a trail or with heavily bolstered seats. A pocket style (if it was a tangible option with a fullsize :redneck:) And the list goes on. :corn:

I have a DeSantis Superfly pocket holster and an Old Faithful IWB holster which is like a Crossbreed for my M&P compact. The OF IWB holster just isn't comfortable for me yet 'cuz I've only had it less than a week. Hopefully it gets better. Also just ordered a Don Hume ITW clip on leather holster.

I use Bianchi Model 57 Remedy with my LCR 357 and have literally rolled around on the rocks of a dusty Liberty trail with it on my side and never worried about the LCR shifting or falling out. Hiked miles of trail and miles of snowy forest, having to shake snow out of the holster. It works. :awesomework: But you have to wear a belt or strap it to your backpack waist strap, which is what i normally do and trade off to a Desantis Nemisis pocket holster when i get in the truck or for transporting inside a backpack or something else to keep the thing that you pull to make a banging noise covered. :redneck:

galco 's king tuck is close to a super tuck, just not as well built.

I love my Galco Combatmaster for my two Sigs.

I've used Don Hume for 1911's and Glocks in the past as well with great success. The body tab that their open tops have is a real help.

Finally received my CrossBreed (after about 2 months wait). Very good quality, similar style to that link you have there. Worth the wait, but obviously not if you are in a rush.

Cost wise I paid about double what you linked, makes me wonder about quality.
