I want everyone to beware of dealing with these crooks, and hopefully no one else has to deal with this. I'm not one to go online and bash a company when there is issues- we all have issues from time to time, but there is a way to make the situation correct!

I have a dealer account with Road Armor. I had ordered a customer a set of front and rear bumpers for a 2013 cummins several months ago. Of course I paid for these on the day of order, but didn't see the bumpers for 2 months. Short version of it, bumpers that I received did not fit the truck, and were VERY poor quality. (All I wanted was to return bumpers and either get correct bumpers, or get a refund) After making numerous attempts to contact them (which they rarely answer phone, wont call back from a voice mail, and don't reply to emails) I finally got told tough luck, and my only option was to return them (me still paying the freight both ways ($900) and a 30% restocking fee). At that point I finally had to get outside sources involved to battle this. I did recently end up getting my $$ back for the full price of the bumpers. Since then, they still have my account info, and have been charging it for charges that have not been authorized! So now onto my next battle!

I have heard that Mark Hanson (owner) is known for bad activity like this, and its been this way since Road Armor was based out of Arlington. This is my only bad experience with them tho.

Hope know body else gets burnt from these guys!

That seriously blows Anthony. Hope you can get it all dealt with.

Lucky for me I have no desire to own any of their fugly bumpers anyways. :redneck:

They have been a ****ty company since they started about 10 years ago. There are threads on Pirate about them. I was at Lazer Fab and there was a big pile of cut and bent bumpers, Road Armor skipped out on a bill that was something like 10gs.

They had another shop they were working out of that closed up and was empty overnight, leaving people looking for them. Then there is the Atomic Axle crap too.

Why is it these big companies have lost there connection with there customer support.

I ordered a bumper for my dodge from Denver off road. Still in process so I cant give total feedback yet but it's an owner operation and the bumpers are made of lighter aluminum and look way cooler than road armor in my opinion. Might be worth looking into for future stuff.

I have herd of lots of people say stay the hell away from that company overkill engineering . I was Told they rack up a bunch of debt and then disappear in the middle of the night.

Kinda like they did at the shop in Arlington just down from where S&N was. One day they were there, next the place was empty.

I never was impressed by their quality... From what I have seen over the years the welds sucked ass...

A friend of mine was working for overkill and got stiffed out of a months pay. They have sucked since day one.

I had the same issue back around 2007 with road armor. At the time they were being built just out of portland. I heard excuses for 2 months plus, every week was a new one and sometime contridicting the last excuse. Fortunatly the body shop fixing my truck paid for them. The owner had to call and discuss having lawyers getting involved. That was the only way they refunded the money.

I will say and I am not afiliated nor do I know there current reputation. Called Fab-Fours placed a order and 6 days later they arrived. From the east coast, and very happy with quality.

Wasn't a guy named Gabe running it? He also had aggressive off-road and stiffed everyone and there brother.:looser:

I have heard a few names thrown out for guys being part owners. That is Gabe Gile and Mark Hanson. Neither of which I was able to ever reach on the phone as they were always out of the office. I did get one email from Mark tho.

Their bumpers are cartoonish at best. Tell your customer its a sign from heaven to not run dumb looking ****. :haha:

As for the business I can remember issues with that place ****ing people over from waaaaaay back.
