Here is my damage.

Whoever set these gears up did a ****ty job :redneck:

After chatting with John from ACRO it sounds like it is going to be a quick and easy fix as long as the cam gear wasn't chipped.

Change the cam gear any way. Even if it doesn't look bad. Chances are it will damage a new disty gear if you do not change it.

I can't just change the cam gear, I would have to change the whole cam. That means pulling the head, new lifters, head gasket, etc. It starts getting into the $ range of just buying a ready to go long block without all the hassle. These OPDS units are a know issue with these motors so I am just going to plan on changing it out every other year to avoid this happening in the future.
