I had to put Jon next to chuck after I mounted my corkboard..

I figured I would try something new for extra lighting on the bench. Leds on a strip are pretty cheap and seem to work ok.. Time will tell...

Man this stuff will get ya high. First time I have use an oil based anything paint related. I got the seal coat done on the exterior plywood--sure helps reflect the light.

Got the big steel shelf setup. It will be nice to have better organization of my steel stock...

Ya know the hardest part of this project is pre-planning what is going where.. That took some thought.

So I got the top coat of paint done and the ladder back on (ended up spacing it farther from the wall,was too close). I think it turned out decent and should have some longevity.

So its really starting to feel like a shop. I got a bunch of my equipment organized to there new homes. I also got my steel selection organized on the new with lots of room for more stuff. Its going to make a big difference and more enjoyable with lots of room for stuff and better organized/easily accessible..

I started one of the last bigger projects this morning--the exhaust fan that will sit just below the roof line near the center. It actually went quicker than I thought and it was a lil nerve racking cutting a big hole in the side of my shop,lol.

But I got it all mounted and wired in and it works perfect. I started the outside vent/cover and its going to be tougher than I thought. Mounting a flat object to a corrugated surface is a lil harder than I thgought it would be but I should have it done tommorow.

And the outside where the air dumps out. I tested it and it works perfect.

So the last 2 days have been very constructive/busy... Went and picked up material to finish around the doors.

This was a whole new learning experience as I have never done this before and doing it solo..

Tricky part was the gutter was in the way. Since I could not remove it myself I figured out a way to kinda keep it up. I also had to pull the guides loose for the doors to secure the flashing that sits in the jamb area.

The metal blade I bought for my skill saw made it a breeze for cutting and I had to make jigs to hold the angled flashing for cutting

I was very happy with the end result. When I was getting quotes on the metal I had 2 options and metal sales apparently had raised there prices pretty good so went with a company that produces an identical quality material but the color's were a hair different. So for a 1/3 of the cost I went with the cheaper option (quality looked to be identical to what was on the building)..

So once all the new siding/flashing was up I got the gutter rehung and moved the downspout to the other side. I got the new lights hung (again going full led) so that makes the exterior all done.

So since the front was now sealed off I did a little test just for fun. I had the front door cracked open and the office/shop door open and turned on the exhaust fan. I have a cork board next to the front door and the papers on it started moving due to the air--thats pretty impressive and tells me it should work perfect.

Gotta update this.. So I got the north wall done up with extra wood for supports.

Painted and mounted. This will be nice to have my tubing stored in a dry place unlike how it was at my gold bar shop.

The hard part--organizing and finding a home for my stuff but I am really loving the fact....

5 hours of work going thru 3 boxes of nothing but fittings but at least now I know what I have and can easily find it.
