Clip or No clip?

So whats the consensus on running the outer clip these days?

I know back in the day we did not run them when we did the martac.

My vag would run the clips as it keeps the axles centered in the trunions turning axis.

Letting the axle pull in and out of center is never good.

Plus it may help keep the locking hub from shooting into the bushes after the chinese studs bust off. :kissmyass::D

There are only 2 pins instead of the typical aftermarket 6 so when the Chinese studs sheer the hub body needs to be retained or it will go shooting across the woods never to be seen again.

I always ran the clips..Almost always. I definitely started using them after i almost lost a locking hub when the pins and studs sheared.

Ya I have seen bobby say that a few times. TG followed suit like bobby and don't send new clips with there shafts.

Anybody know what size the clips are. I had a few but since the move I have no idea where they ended up :D

I usually switch out to regular snap rings after I've spread the stock one too many times. I'll look tomorrow AM when I get to the shop what size I've been using.

Just measured one out of my bin. I use a standard 1-1/4x.120 external snapring.
