Got to AOP around 1230 and got setup for the weekend. Met a couple of other Hardliners and talked to as many teams as possible. Lots of teams were already here when I got here and they’ve been rolling in pretty steadily all afternoon.

Course is going to be a bit longer, with some harder rocks than previous years.

There is a Jumbotron up next to the pavilion so you’ll be able to watch the live coverage from there or go into the woods to watch.

In-Laws will be there this afternoon. We will be there this evening, or in the morning not sure yet!! Looking forward to this! I wish we could be there for qualifying (3-6pm today) I think, but won't make it.

Nice meeting you yesterday @ridered3! Thanks for the help with the map getting the course laid out

Had a blast! We showed up in the middle of the 4800,4500, 4600 race and camped out up by the Jumbotron with Patrick and Luke before the big race. It was a little hot and muggy but not as bad as it could have been. Can’t wait to come back next year!

Had a blast like always. Weather was warm, but lower humidity and way better than the 2020 race.

Took tons of pictures and talked to tons of race teams there for the weekend. Will get pictures posted a a little write up soon. Until then, here's the YouTube links and results for the races.

**** i didnt see yall we was right there
Funny how that happens unless someone is wearing a Hardline shirt/hat. We know rigs but generally not faces away from the rigs. I talked to @Jduck for a couple of minutes before he pulled the Jeep out of the trailer and then I "knew" who I was talking to.

Jduck is Famous around here. Did you walk up and hand him a beer? :rolf:

Thursday I rolled in solo to setup camp and wander around the pits talking to any of the teams that were out and about. Had a blast wandering and talking with them until late into the night.

Friday I wandered some in the morning and again that night. Spent most of the day in the office helping with registration (which was fun since I got to talk with racers, spectators, etc and got to stay in the ac), got a cool glimpse into some of the inner workings of Ultra4 races, and still got to watch most of Qualifying.

Thursday 3.0/Friday 3.0
Thursday I was talking with Ultra4 co-founder Dave Cole. He sent me to their race trailer to meet the team, crew, checkout the semi trailer, and race car. He also offered for me to ride around the short course with Bailey on Friday in the 4400 car. Unfortunately, that wasn't in the cards between travel issues for Bailey and then nuking the motor barely into qualifying. So I told them they owe me a ride next year in the 4400 car or stock class Bronco. :driving:

^ Major props to Tara with Ultra4. When she found out certain kids were at the Finish line for their parents, she would let them cross the line and wave the white flag for them. Was super cool to see!

Yellow highlighting v equals rough layout of the race course. Does not show stuff on the new side of the park though.

v @jeeptj99 had a fun filled day at this recovery spot between lots of action, rolled 4600 class TJ, and breaking the steering off the Toyota buggy. Thankfully they were able to round up a generator, grinder, and welder for @The Luke to bring in and get it all fixed up enough to get him off the mountain/not recover the recovery guy...

v another highlight was they were going down the "Uncle Steve" trail that was found and cut in by @Mattman347 and a couple of others. So earlier in the 4400 race Chip with Rufus Racing broke both front CV's and was just trying to get out of the way. He sent texts and pictures from the race course which they shared on the livestream. From Chip, "tell em I broke my shaft going down on Uncle Steve the hard way."

So that brings us to the end of just my pictures for Thursday-Sunday morning. I still have pictures and videos the wife took if anyone wants more posted to this thread :dunno:

Many many thanks to the racers/teams/pits/crews for coming from all over the country to race @adventureoffroadpark They could race anywhere in the country but wanted to come dodge trees, rocks, and play in the mud of our favorite park!

Many many thanks to the staff (@Pumpkin /volunteers/ and recovery crew @adventureoffroadpark Was a great event overall and all your hard work was appreciated by the spectators and the racers!

Last but not least, many many thanks to the staff/volunteers/ and associated crew with Ultra4 Racing. Thanks for bringing the race series to our favorite park again and better see y'all back in 2022 as well!
