I just upgraded about 6 months ago from a miller spectrum 375 to a hypertherm powermax 45. The powermax is infinitely better. I can cut half inch like nothing. I even used it to cut off a th350 output shaft thats atleast an inch. Best one out there! Most of them are over rated for what they will...
I have spent quite a bit of time parking the old jeep to watch the boys go through on their sticky Krawlers and CC's. If its dry I would say you would be hard to notice the traction difference. If its at all wet the Krawlers shine like new money. I am not from here originally but is the wheeling...
Maybe your exhaust is too restrictive. There is a good thread over on pirate very similar to this. I think it was on the Rockher. The switched to a different muffler (magnaflow I think) and that cured all the running hot issues.
