Nope. The 2.5 had a ax5 behind it and the 4.0 has a ax15. I have only see one adapter to put the ax5 behind the 4.0 (cant remember brand) but you would be better off picking up a ax15 its a stronger trans or a newer 5 or 6speed.

what's the towing capacity?

My brother works at a farm and his boss has one for his kids. He said its a fun and quick for a 170 but a ***** to get started for the first time everyday. Its kept in a heated garage and since new its taken 10-15min of dicking with it to get running but starts fine the rest of the day.
