Loose front track bar on TJ

I'll try that thanks. I actually tried something similar on the bolt. I installed a star washer between the bolt and the mount, that worked for quite awhile. Didn't think of doing something simlar to the bushing sleeve its self.

Loose front track bar on TJ

It is only the lower mount that is giving me trouble. I had not thought about a self locking nut, but I have tried red locktite and that helped some, but the bolt still loosened enough to allow the track bar to move back and forth. I did think about tighting the bolt and then tacking it to...

Loose front track bar on TJ

This has been a recurring issue for me almost from day one. The track bar comes loose in the track bar mount on the front axle. Then I go into a hellish death wobble. Does any one know of a permenant fix that does not require a huge rework of the front axle brackets? Currently I am running a...

    Daily driver MT tire options?

I'm running 35" Goodyear MTRs. I have about 60k on them and they still have 30-40% percent of thier tread left. I do have them rotated and balanced every 3k though. I have been very happy with thier performance. I don't notice and exsessive amount of road noise either. They are mounted on a 04...

Cool. So what do you guys have planned? My rig is a 2004 Unlimited, I'm ok with beating the the crap out of the suspension and drive train. But I try not to sustain body damage.:D I've done Isabel to the end, sac up, the poop shoot, the wall trail, and a little bit of the rock garden. I...

The after effects of Karl`s noobie run

I have a 2004 unlimited that I put a suspension lift, body lift, tires and a SYE in. The dealership I bought my rig from has addresses a half a dozen warrenty claims since then w/o question. They just won't work on the aftermarket stuff. They fixed a wiring issue, replaced the oil pan gasket...
