looking for some 3.0 valve shims around 3.55 mm. if it has 3.30 mm in it right now will that be to much lash? i know its not right but will it ruin everything?

did some investigating into thevalve tick and found a toasted intake lobe on numer 2. pulled it apart and found some yahoo not only had the timing two teeth off on the left side but also forgot to install the shim on the number 2 intake. got new cam but now i cant find shims thick enough to get...

thanks, workin on it tommorow night. gonna fix the valve tick and see what happens. i can start it up and no code but as soon and i get 20 feet down the road the code comes on and it falls on its face.

ya a 3.0 w/ auto was not my first choice, but the price was right and it is a vehicle for my wife to drive w/ our 3 month old sun in the snowy roads. if it was for me it would get a solid axle and one or the two tbi 350's in my shop put in it, but its not for me so i gotta figure sensor out.

it also has a decent valve tick on cylinder no 2 but i dont have the tool to compress the spring, i i have heard worse out of my 22re and it never botherded it

ya it runs like ****, kinda rough like possible miss. put new plugs cap and rrotor. smokes black when i rev it up aggresivly

i have a 89 toyota 4runner with a v6 (horrible engine) picked it up for 6 hundo, lady thought it had blown head gasket, ended up being 3 quarts to much oil, lots of vaccum leaks.... and a knock sensor. i installed a new one and the pig tail to the outside or intake. still throwing code and cant...

im pretty sure any gluster from 85 to 88 or 89. it only depend on the wire connections on the back. truck or 4runner are the same. send me a pm if you need one. i think the one i have has 190,000 miles on the odometer

so i have a 94 toyota truck frame with the rear half of a 93 4runner frame welded on so i had coils and a short rear end. i just put a bobbed 86 4runner body on the frame and will be running a 94 22re. my question is how can i make a 4 link setup or simmilar set up without relocating the tank...

i agree with chop shop. I have ran the same pair of stock hubs with a locker for 3 years, then put a set of warn hubs in and i blew one out the first wheelin trip

sorry no pics. it was under for an hour. There was a party down the road. i drained the tank and filled it with e bottle of fuel dryer. im not sure what to do next. have installed new mass air flow sens. new tps, new disritbutor, new computor.

i just repleced my TPS and it ran fine for about a half mile. still when engine is under load it only runs at idle, full throttle, or above 3500 rpms. could it possibly be the crank position sensor in the distributor?
