good 411, do you think a d44 in rear and d35ttb up front would work better or would you run d44 front/rear. are they better over all vs the yota and 9" what ya think ! and just run the solid axel conversion. the d44s have more options as far as parts availiblty and they would be a substantial up grade over what i am running now. d35ttb/8.8 . the way i see it i am 1900lbs lighter than what the broncoII was is stock form, so in theory it should have less stress overall on the drivetrain components. at least this is true when i built my dessert truck. :awesomework:

Wow, you lightened it up alot! Crazy.

For around here, solid axle definitely. If you still ran the dunes ALL THE TIME, I would say leave the TTB. I dislike that frontend, but I am also into the slower wheeling. It obviously does well going fast.

Ummm... :eeek:

The 31 spline 8.8 is stronger than a 44 rear... So if you were gonna keep the D35 front.. you might as well leave the 8.8... why don't you think it's strong enough?

I just dont like things to go pop! or crack! when they dont need to. I try buid things right the first time . the 37s are the biggest set of tires that i have run on any rig. on the trail I just like to be able to go and just have fun with little headaches ya know what i mean. other than the hub going pop thats really all the problems that I have had with the running gear. what kind of rig are you wheeling with? where do ya roll?any favorite challenges!

This is my junk. 1985 with a 302/C5/D35 locked and Explorer 8.8 locked.

I frequent Evans Creek, Elbe Hills, and Reiter.

not bad if i say so myself this is what im transforming my 22yr ole faithful steed that Ive wheeled since it rolled off the assembly line in detroit . like I said I take my time and build it right the first time so I can play hard , ya know what I MEAN. :stirpot: :stirpot:

when we were talikn bout the d35 ttb explorer , the inner sector shaft stays the same the change come into play from the inner u-joint then you can run the d44 outer sector shaft /brakes/hub/spindles etc does it bolt into the outter ball joint without any mods ? its sounds like it would work to me ! run the d44 outer shafts with the rest of the fsb **** right ? what ya think!:awesomework:
