OK, I've been tired of my worn out Lockrite in the front of my Sami, and finally found some time to tear it apart, and reinstall the LSD that was originally in there. There's only one problem, apparently the ring gear bolts for this carrier (2 piece) are longer than stock ring gear bolts!!! I tried using the stock ones, and the threads are pulling on the bolts---I have so far exhausted resources available to me to find longer ones---they are 11mmX1.0 thread pitch. Has anyone else run into this issue before? Any help as to the solution would be great... thanks, Kev

Yeah Gas....I did some research, and I'm not sure I'd be able to modify my housing to accept the E-locker; I had to move the perches inward to match the Sami spring width, which puts it right up against the mounting surface for the 3rd on the passenger side,I'm still working on it though......question for you, how far out does the fork portion of the E-locker stick out past the round part of the housing????

instead of going through that hassle, and using an LSD. why not just get another loc-rite? or an aussie?

$ $ $; I have the money to do something like that, but would rather buy a selectable before putting another LR, or Aussie in there....so for the time being I'd like to install the LSD if I can find the solution to my problem...if not, then I will pursue other options; I'm very tempted to buy Gas's E-locker, but not sure I can get it in there (space issues for the housing mod...)

To be honest, I'm not sure what the LSD came out of...(Yes, it's a 2-piece that came out of the housing that is currently in my Sami)...I'll go down and take a couple pics...BRB!:awesomework:

Well, after some help from LRZ, finally figured out what I've got---->A POS!!!:haha: Here's the pics...Basically it's an early TRD LSD, been discontinued for several yrs....

zukkev, take a look at this photo:

I have a front elocker in there, and I had to sheer off 1/3rd of the ubolt to make it fit.

hey kevin, just wondering but are you sure there m11x1.0 and not 7/16 24 UNS?
7/16 24UNS Class 2A Major Dia Max .4364 Min .4292
TPI is a little off though, 25.4 vs 24.
If they are m11x1.0 all i have to say is STUPID ENGINEERS!!

Thanks, but in case I didn't state it elswhere, my perch setup is of the sandwich plate design( no Ubolts ), which makes the perch wider for one, the other is I had to move the perch on the pass side RIGHT up against the mounting flange for the 3rd to get it to set up properly(line up with the Sami spring width)---there's just no room for the shift fork portion of the Elocker...but thank you..

It's a yota axle--everything's METRIC... You do a search on Yota axles, and all the RG bolts are metric, Toyota corolla to pickup...
