Tbi question

Yes X2 but you'll loose timing control unless you do some distributor mods. Then it wouldn't be a HEI any more would it?:haha: You have to do some minor harness mods too......I would use a TBI dist if I were you.

I have TBI and a Mallory HEI on my 401. NO timing control (by the tbi computer) but i think the new Howell kits do have timing control now.

Afforable-fuel-injection's TBI kits come with an HEI ditributor with full ECM control.

I have always had good luck with the hei. Thats all.

In that case, you can run an HEI with the 7-pin module. Externally, it looks like your run of the mill large cap HEI with the integrated coil. Only difference is no mechanical or vacuum advance and a different module with another 4-wire pigtail sticking out. Look on mid 80's EFI or carbed rigs with the electronic spark control. No vacuum advance diaphram is a giveaway.
