• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

Work party notice for September

How are we looking for heavy equipment?

So far I will only be out there saturday....

I think we are OK. I will know more after today. The only thing that might need help on is the moving of all the logs. I was thinking that one evening we cound get some trailers up there to move all of the logs from the lower lot to the rock garden

i was hoping it was walker valley. it is closer to me. and i i break, that will be a long drive home. oh well, mabey next time.

meek, you got two work party threads intermixed...there is also one at Walker on the 19th/20th....

Just got home and we got a lot of rock hauled today. I think that the road to the rock garden will be closed tomorrow also.

So is help needed more for saturday or sunday? And what should one bring to help. Id like to finally make my contribution. Truck is open on 32's though so dont plan on me going to deep:;

They are narrowing up the creek crossing, logging the sides,hardpanning it. Just trying to protect it as much as possable.

They are also going to close the same creek crossing under the powerlines, and redirect traffic down the main road and over to the power lines.

So, depending on equipment and I will discuss this with charlie tommorow night. Here is the rough plan.

We need rock dumped up on the upper road to the new area.

The creek crossing has to be closed under the power lines and the creek crossing on the road finished.

I am not sure what will be done by satuday with the equipment that the DNR has now.. Hopefully have more answers to this at the meeting tommorow night...

As for which day. I would say saturday...

For the most part from talking with david i think the equipment is takin care of, not sure if dump trucks are still needed but it sounds like he is going to rent a 11K excavator for friday through sunday i beleive

But im sure charlie will know more after today

I was thinking about heading up there this afternoon and camp the entire weekend up at the second area. Is there anything special that is needed that i can bring up? I plan bringing my neibors single axle trailer and its bed is about 4.5' wide and 6.5' long.
