• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

Time to play with the big kids.

Are u gonna push it to the starting line.:flipoff:
Good luck getting it ready for KOH there is very little time left.:awesomework:

If that is what it takes.

Its real close now. Still waiting on the transmission cooler. Tracking numbers says it should be there tomorrow. I got a few other missing parts waiting for me in Lynden...and then the back half of the buggy will be 100%

Other than the steering knuckles the front end is 95% and all that left that I can think of is welding the AN fittings on the rad, welding the steering res and getting the grill to fit, and proper bolts for the engine accessories.

Interior is 75% done. Rear firewall being the big one.

Drivelines are going to the shop hopefully tomorrow for welding and balancing.

Hoping it will move and make vroom vroom noises by the end of this weekend.

:cheer::cheer::cheer: Cant wait to see this one fire up too, been watching it ever since it was in S&N 5 min from my house. Nice work pook. Check and recheck your work... I have a feeling KOH will find any flaws it a rig. Its gonna be sweet!

A Picture from the begining of the week. Was waiting for some parts so I built myself a GPS. This should get the job done.

Thanks To Taran/BCC becoming a Vendor for Kartek, the desert racing superstore, www.kartek.com , I got some bad ass parts for going fast in the desert.

One of the parts I got is this new PWR transmission cooler.

Running out of space...

Bunk its on the list, I do want it and appreciate getting one, but I haven't finished that stuff up yet. If you can't build it before KOH that is fine. I got access to a lathe up here and can get myself taken care of for the race.

Cool:awesomework:

Missing a few small pieces, just need to get them installed: rear tire carrier, rock lights, winch rope, and electrical but the back is down sitting on its own weight and more or less plumbed. Just need to throw some clamps on the loose hoses...

Been working on the getting the interior finished up and ready to pass tech, pulled the Atlas out and thread locked and re torqued all the hardware. Beefed up the transmission shifter base so it now 100% rock solid. All this bolt torquing and tightening is taking forever... But locktight and Stovers stuff shouldn't be falling off to easily.

Built a fancy "box" to cover the throttle body that's now sticking threw the fire wall. I'll get some pics when the interior goes back in for the 100th time.

Working on getting the motor plumbed and wired now...

I'll get some more pics up after the weekend.

Machined some drive shaft parts and got things together for the front 2 piece shaft.

The female slip yoke was just on there for welding purposes....

Clark I'll post some pics of the complete front drive shaft steady bearing setup for you tomorrow.

I can appreciate the amount of work you've been putting in, i've been slacking on mine lately. Your efforts will be rewarded ten fold when you get out to JV! **** looks good!!! 11 days to go!!!:smokey:

Front driveshaft. S&N Fab style. Machined D50 axleshaft, carefully welded to a male spline end. I went with this style of carrier bearing thinking if it did fall apart at speed it was still captured in the mount hopefully helping my passengers legs survive the breakage.
