Lowering the front of my Toy...

I think for right now I'm going to try a hybrid spring pack. Looks to be my best choice. I have access to a few different sets of rear springs (cj, Toy, blazer etc...) I'll try swapping out some of the springs and roll from there!

Like I was saying the rear is WAY too easy to do. Didn't want to run the blocks in the back as it was, now I have an excuse to get them the fawk off the truck!

Thanks for all the info guys!

I built sliders for my truck and ditched the shackles and it sits way better now. I also got a better pinion angle out of it... I would highly recommend this..
Not sure I understand the theory behind sliders. Don't think I have ever actually seen one. MarcW is that what your running?

What kinda life do you get out of sliders? I like the look of it, but it looks like parts may wear quick.

Mine have held up pretty well. instead of a poly bushing for them to ride on I made little rollers to slide on the bolt. They seem to move really smooth for me.
its drooped all the way in this pic.

How bout a winch bumper and winch? That'll help you out two-fold.

1: some weight to hopefully drop the front down
2: you need one anyway, as I dont see your rig equipped with one.

Holding down the concrete in my garage :haha: If you want i have about 100 pictures of this setup. I also have enough lazer cut plates to make two more set up's like this. They are made for a 9/16" bolt though, not metric toy stuff. Just replaces the shackle for the movement of the spring eye bolt. there are several dozens of sets in various forms and fashions out there, all with the same theory. I got the Lazer files from Tim at Liquid Iron Industries, and welded them up to my width/specs. I also have access to a Lazer to get some cut for Metric Toy bolt sizes if you wanted. :D Side plates are 1/4" with 1/2" CR square bar, and the bottom peice is 3/16"

Round bar in the second picture was to minimize weld distortion. :;

Winch and bumper are definately on my list'o'**** to get... As soon as I get a bender I'm going to build my own bumper tho!

Hey MarcW thanks for the pics. Thats an interesting setup and definately an option for my truck! I would have to turn my knuckles to get full advantage of that!
