• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

So i bought a 51 Whilly

i was gonna go with yukon since Jonathan worked there in the warrantee dept but he no longer does and i am just not a fan of Yukon stuff.

one year warranty verses lifetime at superior, but warranty means less to me that original strength.

i need to find a thread where bobby breaks all the different axels and specs them all out at thier breaking points.:awesomework:

where did i see that was it on pirate?

There were a couple articles in some of the 4 wheelin' mags too.

i went with superior evolution axels. lifetime warranty and made in the good ol USA.

i had an issue with the axel seals as the front end started life as a dodge unit bearing vacuum disconect. i retubed that side but the other side i didnt mess with has a wierd seal area. the 35 spline seals i ordered wont fit that side. i went to randys and they found me the correct seal. its from a dana 44/60.

so i wil have the front end ready to install saturday. The rear end is in place.

it appears i destroyed my PSC P pump by running the engine for testing with no oil in the pump.

one step forward two steps back. but im getting there.

now i need two 1310 yokes for dana 60s.

so ordering a new P pump today.

rig is sitting on the wheels.

brakes are bled.

Anyone have a 1310 or 1330 CV Yoke from a NP-205 sitting around collecting dust?

I thought i had that all worked out but the bolt holes dont quite line up....:redneck:

i do have a picture of something new ill post tonight.:haha:

You know this is as funny as pulling that yoke....one of the yokes that I had in my hand was the 60 yoke you needed.:haha:As long as you did take that one home with you:scratchhead:

So you have what yoke on the t-case 1330 or 1350?

Are you interested in doing a bastard driveline, i.e. 1350 on one end and 1310 on the other? If so give me some dimensions to go to my driveline pile to look for.

well the second drive shaft i have of the proper length is a 1330/1310 combo. i believe it just has the adapter joint on the end.

or the 1310 one.

i installed the non cv one but id rather have a CV. i can always carry the non CV as a spare.

so basacally a CV yoke of 1310 or 1330 would work.

in a perfect world id find a 1310 CV for free somewhere. or maybe just an application from Pull A Part.

He needs the 32 spline 2.125 seal NP205 yoke. D20 = 26spline or 10 spline (IIRC)

Hip, I thought you had a 1310 single joint yoke for the 205?

since when did yukon go to a 1 year warranty?

I've been breaking yukon stuff for years, and they keep replacing it.

just got their most recent shafts up front (1 of 3 was not warrantied)

What did ya want to know? I have the chart hanging in my shop with all the breaking points. I was at the hammers writing them down on the chart for Bobby as we were breaking them. It was very cool.

Bobby only broke axles that were donated to him that run. Mostly warn and yukon stuff.

I dont think I have heard/seen him break a superior shaft.

Did it work Hip?
Or do we need to make one?
I need to walk down the alley and see how it is coming. :D

yes your dist wrench worked great. timing is now set but still not running smooth like it should.

i need to set the idle control valve and i think i might have a bad plugwire.

darn thing runs like crap. one second it runs smoooth like that..... then it starts loping wildly, then dies. if i start it and rev it up some it seems real smooth but drop back to idle and same thing.

checked all the codes and it has tons:redneck:

no external vacuum leaks.

22 33 34 42 43 44

i have been swapping item back and forth like IAC motor, throttle Pos senser, map senser, no effect.

i set base timing when it was running smooth and it remains there.

good grounds everywhere.

new CPI injectors.

fuel pressure steady except when loping. has no problem maintaining 60 psi.

any ideas?
