Widest tire on a HMMWV/H1/"Hummer" rim??!?!

Alrighty ladies and germs..

Trying to figure out what options I have as far as wheel/tire combos that would be best for me.

What is the widest tire you have ran or known someone to run on a standard width Military HMMWV rim? Looking at a few different sets of tires to run and want to make sure I'm not going to push its limits too much.

Looking at these two sets of tires:
39.5x13.5x16.5 Bias Iroks and 39.5x16.5x16.5 PB Rocker

39.5x13.5x16.5 Bias Iroks work great on h1 rims. Never tried the other tire.

I have also run 38.5x14.5x16.5 TSL SXs on h1 rims with no problems.

Great! I love my Iroks but since I have to get a new one I want to just upgrade a little. Going to run some PVC inserts with the H1's.

49"x21" and 47"x17" both on stock width H1s. The inserts need to be cut down for some thicker tire beads.

Are you running PVC or what kind of inserts?

Poohbair is running those Rockers on his 4runner. Not sure if he had to trim the ring or not, but they fit.

These are the Rockers on H1's

PVC Inserts didn't need to be cut at all...

Haven't had any issues with the rim width to tire width?

Now just really need to decide what tires I want and get my hands on some H1's...

No issues at all.. I love this combo, but I have been thinking about selling them and maybe parting out my rig.. ?? Just don't have much time for wheelin' anymore w/ all my kids stuff and the new house...

The 49s had PVC inserts and the 47s had trimmed rubber inserts.

no the 49s in that pic still have the full stock magnesium run flats in it, not cut down

I have 44x18 TSL's with the HDPE inserts. I had to cut em down about 1 inch but it was super easy with a table saw.

I thought Casey had PVC inserts, my bad.

Thanks for all the info guys! Sold me on H1's!!! Now hopefully my **** will sell and I can get some bigger meats and wheels!
