So i bought a 51 Whilly

:cool:well the stereo is figured out one of the power wires was in the wrong hole on the plug. It was the main switched power red wire was four holes off.

What is it with you and things being in the wrong hole? :haha:

what t-case has a H/L front and a L/H rear ?


yeah the rear wheel shift lever on the 205 has a pivot so it is backwards at the shifter end.

the way it is clocked the shift rail is buried so you have to get creative to make it shift. i added a pivot, some people make a piece that moves the end out from behind the front case.

had the roof rolled yesterday. attempt to mount it today and get antenneas up.:D

it had to be me as it worked when i got it. i took the wires out of the plug to solder them. the diagram i have does not show exact pin connections. i looked at another clarion and it had the same plug.

never claimed to be any good with wires.

I guess the radio worked at the stereo store because you just unplugged it from the rig, and they have their own plug for testing..:;
 
so i got the roof fit and installed, also the antenneas for gps and race radio.

I have one question...Why build custom ARB fittings? Are you building trail spares? Seems to me you'd want something simple, so finding it in a pinch at the local hardware/fitting store isn't an issue...:eeek:

so it dont break on the trail EVER. it came out great, most bulletproof setup ive seen with my eyes. :flipoff:this setup will eliminate the little brass fitting above the other three.

My plan was to use this entire piece from the old frame but when i went to actually cut it i realized how trashed it really was, i was barely able to salvage the vent part.:redneck:

i made a couple of speed holes to allow the air in on my gps mount and the wiper motors fit on the other side of the A pillars. i had an old seal laying around and it fits perfect under the frame to seal against the cowl. well maybe not perfect but itll do. need one more piece of sheetmetal for the inside and to leave the landing for the glass. of course it removable for big dog days.....:haha:

i hate getting hit in the face with wet berry bushes. well that and the fact i could not breath when trying to speed test it....been a long time since i rode motorcycles i forgot how.:D

Little tip. Try to seal the top of the windshield to roof joint. When I did Fifo's the worst thing was the stream of water that came through the gap. I/ Chad can get some of the bulb weather stripping that goes on a flange for you.
 
if you notice the top bar of the windshield area bar lands right centered on the front cross bar of the chassis so i can seal it right there with a rubber strip glued to the windshield frame. that same bar is where the clamps are going to pull the two bars together.:awesomework:
 
Really nice build. I just read through it. I heard you solved your brake problem with a soft compound pad. Do you have the info on that. I have the same problem.
