Reiter Updates: Summer/Fall 2010

Update.

As of right now all trails are a rough route on the ground. We got the ok by the county to go ahead and put an actual path of where the trails will sit.

As of now due to pressure from the DNR and usergroups the county is backing off allot of the talked about restrictions (stormwater bullcrap and such) but there was nothing in writing yet but we are hoping they do lax those restrictions.

As of right now we are still moving forward in positive progress--too slow IMO but yet forward....

so, we should get to wheel it, to actually make the path :awesomework::beer:

Make the true and final line of the trail. Clear all vegetation up to 2" and any down trees that are in the final alignment of the trail. We have to mark center line of the trail and also outside edges. This is for they can write up the bid specs for getting the trails made, where water control points need to go for that everyone is happy. The plan is right now is to contract out the base of the trails and any water control areas, and then let the volunteers come in and build the obstacles.

There are a couple small work partys sceduled to figure out how to do the alignment and what data DNR needs, then a scedule will be put out for work partys

Sounds like a good plan.:awesomework:

It is a good plan, we just had to work the process to get to this point.

This weekend we had a small work party to figure out how to flag the trails. I think it went real good. 4x4, ST and quad trails were all worked on a little. I think the system of flagging needs a little more refining and a few more questions answered by the people (who ever that make that decision (who ever they are):haha:

Things are a little behind schedule but we are looking good. Yesterday we cleared and staked trails. Today we have a few people that are going into unknown territory and start flagging one of the last trails

Nice way to work together Charlie :awesomework: Nobody conned anyone into anything. If the DNR decided to add the tight twisty trails then they did so because there were people there asking for such. I have talked to a couple of people in the northend clubs that have said they will step up and work on these trails to get them done.

No worries, don't get up tight. Have them get a hold of me and lets get it done and stop the talk and put it into action

So today was slow going, tons of brush in the area. I think we might have got 1/4 of it done. I think it is going to be a nice trail when it is done.

Good job to every one that showed up and worked today on the tight and twisty :awesomework:I'm going to rest now :beer:

It will never happen :haha::stirpot:

they will never do anythhing with Reiter :fawkdancesmiley:

and if they are it will take years for it to happen :hi::corn:

So today we got the T and T flagged. That was a lot of work. Lots of brush. Also we installed the land use permit signs for the temp parking lots
