• Help Support Hardline Crawlers :

opening night

Road to the first parking area is clear. The 2nd parking area is clear but has a deep patch of snow by the creek some rigs were getting stuck in. Campground has 3' in shady areas. All the lower trails are clear, upper trails and roads have 3-5' of snow in shady spots. Early morning its frozen and you can float on to with a good rig, afternoon it turns to slush and you get buried. Road up has lots of deep potholes and lots of cars and minivans going up towards Mowich, which has about 6" at the gate.

My FJ40 is a bit too heavy to float, but it does sound fun and challenging.

Anyone run it and have any pictures? A buddy and I are tempted to try some of it out this Friday. Hoping its warm enough this week to melt some more snow but don't want to bother wasting a hall pass if its going to be a snowy winch fest.

Update

Great conditions all over up there except the 519 is unreachable. 520 is snowed in just before the rock garden. Small dent in door and front bumper from the 197 but all in all a great day to play hooky!
