WOW.......you done that piece of machinery the BIGGEST favor a human ever could ,that thing went from DORKY ASS GEEK SCOOT ,to BADDASS BIKE, good job man :dblthumb:

ballsy son of a bitch not running any rearfender with a springer seat.

I've riden a couple different Flyrite's only because I have a buddy that was tight with Kidd, they've since fallen out huge. Fun bikes and what I'd own if I was into bikes.

Here is one of my buddy John Collins Triumph bike. We were hard into hotrods together, and then he got the bike bug, now he's all bike. I think the triumph was his first full custom build, and I think he's done better than a handful of harleys now. I know he has a badass Rootbeer shovel that even gives me a hard on.

Wish I had a couple of pics of my '52 Norton to post. It was a bobber before they were called bobbers. That was just how we rolled back then booyang

That's it, I am buying a welder this winter, finding a bike with a title and hacking something together....with dimpled holes errr-where.

Rob, what model bikes lend them selves best to this ****?

21" front wheel, Dunstall megaphones, 5" Avon rear, no front fender, chopped rear fender, shaved sportster tank, nothin' but a speedo up on the riser "Wild Ones" style, bass boat metalflake in the paint. :dblthumb: I'm comin' to Iowa with a hack saw, we gonna get busy! :driving: You gotta be old to do old school right :flipoff1:

That's a bitchin' Triumph! Those are serious $$ for parts.

I've got a fender, just haven't put it on yet.. It'll be on before I go on our 200 mile bobber ride next weekend to :drinkers: and ride canoes...

Depends whether you're gonna go harley or metric. If you wanna go cheapish, metric. I love the Yamaha XS650's because there is tons of aftermarket support for them and cheap to build. Think of how "toyota" is in the rockcrawling thing cheap, bad ass parts... Same with the Yamaha XS650's..

Couple forums with good info is XS650.com and Chopcult.com
For pics and ideas---this is the best place to go: http://www.xs650chopper.com/
gotten parts from:
Lowbrow Customs
TC Bros
Mikes XS
650 Central
Gordon Scott Engineering (exhaust)

As for buildin the harleys.. I don't know a damn thing bout em.

Any of you seen the show on HDT, "Cafe Racer"? They take some serious piles of crap and build them like these bikes. Cool as **** to see what rat bikes they come up with. :****: booyang
