I am not sure but I think those are 1.5 ton M&H (marmon and herington spelling?) axles.

I am about 85% sure these are from a forklift. The center hoop on the axles hooks directly to the chassis. 2 hydro cylanders per axle on the spring pads allow it to adjust lean back and forth while working.

I would like to know the weight and gear ratio. Those look like some serious beef.

Somebody find a pic of the airport tugs that the military used. 4 wheel steer, center pivot, cucv cab and drivetrain up to the driveshafts. Look a lot the same. 22:1 final reduction. These might not be that but I thought they looked like it.

I have some of the gen1 tug axles, 4 wheel steer, 55* steering with cv's, 8.5" thirds before the planets with a 1.5ish" shaft prereduction. 20" rims and 4 wheel discs with 2 calipers per wheel on the front. 17.44 final reduction. They look similar to those, but a thicker housing and spring pads.

That's what I thought they were, we had to talk lay out of buying 1 of those things 1 time

I still want to use mine, but it will never happen. I still have Will's single seater and all the parts to put it together, and no time to do so. Can't even finish mine. I had a uroc transaxle buggy bought like 5 years ago, guy flaked on me. It was perfect to put them in.

If they're the ones I'm thinking they are, 22:1 final reduction.
Their predecessors had 17.44:1

They are heavy at 1650 # they are for a 10k fork lift with a planitary geared hub.

My buddy has a set of those I think he is asking 2600, but not a 100% sure

4.63 is the carrier gearing and the planataries are 3.6 which equil 16.65 total


The weight is listed by hmtrunner at #1650 and that is correct.

If someone wanted them i would sell them for $3000. They are NEW as in never installed in anything. They have Hydrolic disc brakes alread istalled and are listed as a no-spin axle but I have no way to confirm any of this as Im not going to tear down and New axle to check. They also already have the Hydro rams already setup on the axles.
