Rockwells in LOW buggies

My link bars front and rear are straight from mounts to axel. At full compression my harmonic balancer drops down between the front top bars. I had to run the power steering pump belt off of the water pump because it hit the top bar.my wheel base is 135 in with rear steer and love it

here is a pic of mine and i'm running 130" wheelbase and 101" wide (outside of tire to outside of tire) thanks to new wheels very stable

Arkansas oct 6th only be home one weekend in sep and in a wedding cwilson hurry up and get that bastard done so we can ride Sorry for the derail

im 70 inches top of cage with 7 inches of up travel ... cant remember what my belly clearance is .... build thread is on here

F'it, I'm gonna run them and see how low I can get it. So who has some 43" sticky SXs that they wanna trade for brand new 39"reds on black rock crawlers with weld on locks? ;D

Yep you can go low. Just takes a bunch of planning to get everything to clear. My buggy is 6 foot to the top of cage. It would be lower but I am 6'3" and I wanted a minimum of 4 inches of head clearence. So I had the top redone..Originally it was 5'10" to the top fully loaded. As for belly clearence, 22-23 inches of belly clearence is ideal IMO riding in the SE. Much lower and you will beat your undercarriage to death. Not to say you still don't with 22-23 inches of clearence.

Ok, here's that start of a lot of late nights. I'm too lazy now days to do a full on build thread but might post up some random shots throughout. After 3 days of walking around in circles figuring out whatever I could I came up with a plan. No bend tech and fancy tools, just me, some beer and a MANUAL bender. The buggy will be 66" to the highest part of the cage, 22" belly, room for me plus4" of head room and 121" wheelbase.
