Will a geo tracker AT trans bolt up behind a samurai 1.3????

I have a samurai based buggy that I am in the process of building and really want to run an automatic. I have 2 sammy 1.3s laying around and before spending the money on a 1.6 I would like to try running a 2wd tracker/sidekick AT behind the 1.3. I have heard some before that it will work but seeing the adapters to bolt a sammy 5 speed to the back of a 1.6 makes me think other wise. If anyone has any info on this it would help greatly.

Who makes an adapter of that type? I don't imagine it would be the same one as the sammy 5speed to 1.6. It should be the other way around.

i got an adapter to gm transmission and intermediate shaft and powerglide stall, i didnt like not being able clutch and dump it wide open

"Lucky 13" is the adapter you're looking for. I don't think they're in production anymore though. A regular 1.6-sammi transmission adapter can be modified to work though.

Who makes the adapter to gm trans?! Didn't even think of that. I have a 203/300 doubler setup for a turbo 350 laying in th shop floor I need to use. would be so much stronger than a sammy tcase!!

With that much added weight and resistance you are wasting your time with a 1.3

I agree with you there. My plan was to run a 4.3 in front of it. I think I'm gonna go with the tracker trans and my sammy case. My buggy is super light and I want to keep it that way. Just need to adapt my tracker trans to the 1.3 and I'm good to go.

you just need 1.6 adapter then, i believe. this kit puts powerglide behind 1.6 then small intermediate shaft to zuk t-case, is how i ran it, but many other options to running this
