Brother and I picked the trailer off Craigslist cheap last year.. Finally getting around to doing something with it.

It's a 30' rv trailer, looking to make it a dual rig hauler and possibly converting it to a gooseneck.

Just looking for a little insight on reinforcing crossmembers ( size, spacing, gauge material)

Our end result is a basic hauler with runners and reliable

Thanks

im doing the same, mine is a 5th wheel with the goose attachment on thought, rated for over 10K

I had a tandem axle 20' rv trailer frame that I was going to build but after looking at it and checking the axles, it wasn't worth it. The frame was really thin material and from what I could find online, the axles were only rated for around 2k each. The one you have looks much beefier though. :dblthumb:

Well got around to cutting the rv slide off and started to notice the frame is bent on both sides ... Not sure if its worth the work to rigid the frame up to haul my Toyota and my brothers yj big block tons and 44s

I'm guess I'm around 4k and my brothers 6k??? What y'all think?

And another thing I noticed the 12" ibeam frame has ripples all the way down , looks to be manufactured that way??

I did almost the same thing but cut mine down to 24'. Hauls my buggy and a rzr great.. If you have to go buy the materials new then it's not worth it, atleast not for me. I got most of my material for free and built it over time. With brand new brakes and ten ply tires, I have around $1500 in a trailer Lawrimore wanted $5k to build.....
