I know some of you have these, I'm thinkin of sellin my dodge dually and moving to something like this and pulling my 30' gooseneck , I'm sure this is a loaded question but what kind of mileage could I expect pullin a trailer with one....I'm not thinkin of a freightliner or hi end rig,I'm thinkin of something like a 1995-2003 range Kodiak or ford 800...any thoughts or info? I'm sick of tent camping when wheeling, i like the Idea of having a dry warm or cold camper already packed and all inclusive, pull in and camp and wheel

I just traded my 99 Kodiak 6500 and 39 ft fifth wheel camper for a new motor home. My Kodiak had a 3126 cat but was only 200 hp. it got 10 mpg pulling my camper. My 2010 dodge got 8 mpg pulling it. My experience with all of this is skip that and go straight to a motor homr. We've had tents, pop ups, campers, and fifth wheels and the motor home is the way to go.my Kodiak was a fine sum bitch to, four door, air ride, low pro, western hauler, but the older ones do not have enough power. The motor home is a little harder to drive, but not that bad. Motor home pulls the Rockwell jeep just fine. Motor home is a 38 ft Georgetown with a ford V10 gas. Gets about 8 mpgs. But your loaded for bear when you get where your going, generator and all.

I almost always have two rigs on the trailer when I go, Rockwelled jeep and Rockwelled buggy and my trailer is almost new , love that setup so I don't want to get rid of it, that's why I like the toter home idea so much , but my dodge has a lot of power and handles the trailer well , another thing is licensing? If its an RV do I need a cdl? Or rock out like a rock star?

This is a 92 ford with 6.6 diesel and 6 speed that I like ( price range I had in mind too) these garbage or decent?

I don't know about your state, but here in fl, if its titled as an RV you are exempt from needing a CDL. I do know howere here if you retain the 5th wheel hitch on the toyed, the DMV will not change the registration to RV

Did you do the conversion yourself or buy it already built? Have any interior pics?

As much as i like this idea, I don't want a turd towing that gets less than 8-10 miles a gallon either, I get ten with my dodge with two rigs on the trailer and I can live with that but 4-5 mpg would cost an arm and a leg on road trips, anyone know if they put cummins in any of these tow piggies?

i picked this up last year. paid 11.5 for it.been all over and love it.475 hp cat w a 10 speed fuller 22 ft box.70" sleeper double bunk. i get around 10 or better.can haul 2 rigs in the box and pull a trailer if needed. i love it. titled as a motorhome so no cdl needed. only way to go as far as im concerened.unless you wanna be a baller and buy a big toter this is the cheap guys toter. you want something over 350hp or it sucks for mileage and power.
