I strongly urge all of my fellow Combat Vets to make damn sure they get every injury large or small documented within the VA system. It is there for you and you need to use it.

I was like most and thought by going that it made me one of the whining ass pussies that make most of sick. By doing this, I have let injuries go unrepaired and now it going to cost me the ability to do some of the things that I love in life.

YOU ARE NOT A COWARD FOR GETTING HELP BUT YOU ARE A MORON IF YOU DO NOT!

NOTE: THESE ****S WHO FAKE INJURIES JUST SO THEY CAN BLEED THE SYSTEM FOR MORE MONEY MAKES ME WANT TO GUTT RAPE THEM WITH MY BLADE

I need to show this to my brother. He just came home from Afghanistan a couple months ago from a pretty rough deployment and needs some help physically and mentally. I keep trying to urge him to get help before he gets out in a few months. Thanks for what you did man :woot:

If he is still Active Duty then he is good but let him know to make damn sure that he gets a copy of his whole medical file before he discharges.

This is very good advice. And for anyone going to the VA to file a claim, dont give up. Unless your faking it. I cant stand going there and listening to these fake asses. Sit there and lie. Its a long process but will be worth it in the long run. I denied having PTSD for yrs. If you have deployed to Iraq or Afghanistan then there is an excellent chance you have some sort of PTSD and should seek help before it destroys you and your family. If you know of a veteran who may be suffering from it urge them to seek help but dont pressure them to hard but never give up. God spped to all my brothers and sisters that have fought for our freedoms..

I know some older people that are drawing for hearing loss but I think they may have cut that out for todays military due to the issuing of ear plugs. I know they do pay for ringing in the ears. Just go to the VA and make a claim. I spent my first 6 yrs in Field Artillery in the Marine Corp.

Yes you can get help for hearing loss, depends on the job...I think Artillary would qualify.... It takes a lot of time and patience but like said before is worth it. I'm a 8 year Vet., it was 10 years after I got discharged before I made myself go to the VA...turned out to be a great decision that has been very helpful.....

Did your training at Ft Sill? Marines pissed on our rucks we had laid down while we went to chow, so we stole their guidon and pissed on it. Muffhuckers were threatening court martials and ****.

What were you? I was a foward observer, 13F.

I'm currently a Medic Platoon Sergeant serving in the 82ND ABN. You can claim tinnitus( ringing in the ears) on your VA claim. There are restrictions for claiming hearing loss because of said earplugs but that doesn't apply to everyday activities. I was injured in Afghanistan and I make copies or get a copy of every encounter with a provider or Doctor. I'm almost back to full duty now and just started jumping again.... I make copies for my benefit, not the Army's. I'm never gonna suck the system but if I need medical help/coverage it will be well documented when I get out. If you NEED help get it, if you want to suck the system :gtfo:...
