Alright guys need some help here, I've got a 5ft long piece of 6 inch channel iron to use as the base for my rear bumper. I'm having trouble with my manual sketches, and no longer have MS paint or any other drawing program on my computer, so I was wondering if you guys could dream up some designs for me. Rig it's going on is an 1984 Toyota pickup. style of the bumper is about unlimited, gotta keep the budget a bit low though...talking scrap junk thrown here, no 20' of DOM or anything like that...

well here is a pic of my rear that is made out of 3x5 steel tube with a reciever hitch in.just imagine it without the gigantor mudflaps. what sort of style are you goin for?

well here is a quick sketch of what my rear bumber pretty much looks like. it is real east to do but since you only have channel you really cant put a receiver hitch in it.

you could still do a receiver through channel. the nice thing about square tube is that its going through two flat surfaces and you can weld both sides. all you need to do is find center, weld a 4-6" long plate on the back side, then you have two surfaces you can run 2.5" square tube through and weld it on both ends, cut them at an angle, box em in ane your done. then you have a bumper that looks pretty sweet, cheap, and functional. get it done.

this is pretty much exactly how my bumper is on my truck. its pretty well secured and the only thing i may change is the amount of plate i used to mount the bumper itself is connected to the frame.

Yeah i definitely want to be able to have that reciever on there. need to be able to haul the trailer for the motorcycles since I plan on using a camper shell. want something simple, stylish, and strong enough to wedge a rice burner under without hurtin my rig when some moron decides to rear end me.
