alright since I have no clue what springs are on my truck. Can anyone tell me the stock height of an 85 reg cab yota 4x4? Don't care whether it's ground to frame or ground to body wherever.. Just as long as I can figure out how far mine is off.

springs sag, knowing the stock height will tell you nothing. You need to get a pic of stock springs and compare number of leafs, clamps, etc.

I'm just trying to figure out my 4 link... supposedly I need to start with how tall my truck is in the first place and where I want it to end up.. I guess I'll just take a stab in the dark.

You should build it at full compression and then adjust for what ride height you want. Don't base if off your old leaf springs.

I'm trying to base it off where I want it to sit.. not my leaf springs.. I just want to know where the truck sat stock.

finish that damn dodge before you have another pile of parts sitting in your yard

That Pile is staying right where it is.. I sold my stocks the last time I broke that pos to fix/modify it.. and recently they've sky rocketed.. so it's going to collect dust.

Loose the avatar fawker. And i second the build it around max compression. Ya want a pic to understand why?

Jeff, You wil want to build at ful stuff, then adjust ride height with the upper spring or shock mounts depending on what mode of suspension your using.

However I too am curious as to the dimension from ground to frame or frame to axle? as I built mine without knowing but I'm guessing I have about 2-3" of suspension lift plus a 2" BL, moved the axles forward and got out the die grinder and sawzall for my 37's to get under it....:redneck:

thanks for the pics Symon.. I'm most likely aiming for 4" and running 35's.. So that gives me a good idea.

Bunk, pics are always good! Especially when you're clueless like me!! cause I obviously don't even know where to start!

Build it at full stuff!!!!

If i put my front frame rail on top of the rear frame rail i would have avoided this. But i put the front rail on the inside of the rear rail. This helped with the pass motor mount but required a huge notch to clear the uptravel of the axle goodies. It aint at full stuff here.
