Discover Pass coming to two vehicles!

Even if this passes, and the pass is transferable, won't you still need two of them if you take two street rigs to the Disco park? i.e. your tow rig, and your street legal wheeler.

My experience getting ORV Tabs and Plates

It is a little vague, but it is the same as having a dual-sport motorcycle. It has to have plates to be on the street, but since it is "licensed" as ORV it also has to display the ORV tab, thus making it legal to not run the Disco. On a side note. The money for the ORV tabs goes into the NOVA...

Goodbye Logging roads, dispersed wheeling, WALKER VALLEY

You are right. There are too many "laws" already, so one thing that needs to happen is for some one to go through and delete all the useless ones, fix the ones the have mistakes in the way they are written, and get rid of the ones that are superceded by others. Unfortunately, the folks that...

Goodbye Logging roads, dispersed wheeling, WALKER VALLEY

I get all that, but, being that it is an amendment to a bill that would make areas that aren't legal now, legal. The stiffer fines would go along with the bill being enacted. If the bill doesn't pass into law, the amendment, doesn't either. That is how I understand it. I may be mistaken.

Goodbye Logging roads, dispersed wheeling, WALKER VALLEY

So I emailed my Senator when I started reading this thread, and got an email today that I actually didn't expect. By the time I got it, I already knew that the amendment had been pulled. but it was interesting to get the response that I did. From Dave Upthegrove

Yah, my Clarklocks do kinda stand out.

    Beadlocks on the street.

So, that tells me that there are regulations in place (federally) for the manufacture and distribution of aftermarket wheels etc., but by the time it gets down to the state and county enforcement level, they don't actually stipulate in the RCW that your wheel has to say DOT approved, or meet the...

    Beadlocks on the street.

Although they do require welding, it says "visible". The welds on mine aren't

Reiter: you want money? Get the businesses on our side.

I would like to go but I don't speak well when confronted, so my words are better in typeface and on paper. But I would, however, like to contribute. If I can help with a monetary donation to help offset the cost, and make it possible for someone to go, that can speak my mind better than I can?

    Axle tie down straps...

Good points, both. I do still carry the chain box on the trailer so that they are there if I need them. Chains also make good options for extending the winch line. I don't think I would trust my ratchets for that.

    Axle tie down straps...

That's not a bad deal, and a nice convenient package. I use the seperate d-ring style straps and the hookedd ratchets. They were a little cheaper, but they were also a little cheaper.

    Axle tie down straps...

A little different that the ones I use but same concept. I use to use a set of chains, that were specific to the wheeler, but anything else was hard to place properly and difficult to balance for optimum travel sometimes. Much easier to adjust the balance with the straps.

    new 33's

I have a set of Toyo m/t's on my work truck. I don't think I will ever buy a different type. They wore a little faster than I expected, but my truck is in and out of jobsites all day every day and I have yet to be stuck. Not that I'm trying. They perform pretty good in the snow also. As long as...

    User fees

This. My biggest problem with paying now is it staying in the parks. I would pay a yearly fee. Hell I pay for my fishing license and only go out once or twice a year. I already have to license three quads and my son's dirt bike and my sand rail. If I had to buy one more I don't think it would...

    How wide are you

I was 79.5 on the front. I am currently putting Dodge D60's under it and haven't found a tire/wheel package yet. When I went to Tillamook S.F. wheelin', they had several trails that they had stacked rocks at the entrance and exit and it limited the width of vehicles that could enter. Is that...
