    AIR/HYD Bump Stops Information

no-no-no-no..... the "limiting spacer".....goes around the shaft of the air bump.....so it limits its EXTENSION. so, full-bump stays the same, they just don't come OUT 4"...they only come out how ever far you let them. no need to change the set-up at all, just pull them down, install spacer...

    AIR/HYD Bump Stops Information

????....I don't follow. your bumps fully compressed should already be the limit of your up-travel. "full bump" is full bump, whether it took 4" of bump-stop travel or 2" of bump-stop travel to get there should be irrelevant. Your bump stops ARE what limit you're travel to your original...

    AIR/HYD Bump Stops Information

Hippy... its really easy to shorten them up if/when you decide to. just take them apart, and cut a spacer tube to go around the shaft inside. Just like limiting the stroke of a hyd. cylinder. For just crawling around, running 1" of up before the bumps, and running the bumps soft would be...

lets talk about auto transmissions for wheeling

I'm pretty sure this was supposed to be a TECH thread..... and no where in the original post did it ask about "do you prefer auto or manual trannys".... Tech or GTFO!! :flipoff:

lets talk about auto transmissions for wheeling

    Hippy... I'm running c6-203/205 and 4.56's w/ 42's... and a 2400-2500rpm stall....(from Hughes) I think I went a little too high w/ the stall....at least w/ a bigblock. Mine in lo-lo-low at idle will almost sit still w/o brakes....ZERO worry about pushing through.....which can be nice, and...

Suppose you were going to build a 60...

unless you like having a stronger R&P in the front....  now....high-pinion axles in the REAR, that may be compensation... --B

    Link Size

2" x .250 DOM.... It doesn't take long for the fronts to get a little frowny face to them, but have never had one "fail"... same in the rear, and they're good as new, but there's not near as much weight back there... next set of front-lowers may be 2x2 square.....and/or shorter --B

    More line lock stuff

Hydraulic supply store... its like a 5k psi, SS ball valve....was like $35-$40. plumbed in line to the rear brakes. pump pedal and hold, hit the valve.....rears locked. no pedal pressure, hit the valve....rears locked OUT, so the pedal only works the fronts.... and so long as your brakes...

    Cutting Brakes ??

I love my cutting brakes (only in the rear) w/ the rear ARB unlocked.. 3-wheeling is where its at!

    another johnny joint?

I'm not sure what you're building, or how hard it gets beat on.... but I DO understand the....."hesitation" to run a 9/16" bolt. All my links are 5/8 or 3/4" bolts... all my big rod ends are still pretty tight... all my 3/4" rod ends are kinda sloppy/rattly and, to Crash's surprize, all my...
