    1/2" drill talk

i dont know why but i just do not like dewalt. i think its my dads opinion rubbed off on me that it is "home depot" tools. i will stick to milwaukee, makita and bosch. although dewalt does make a couple decent tools that have the competitors beat in that category.

    1/2" drill talk

i figured i was going to get nothing but milwaukee for a response. i went with the old school keyed chuck. model #0234-6. im sure the keyless chuck may be nice, but i just like knowing my shizzy is tight, and the keyless is like $30 more. i have been using my dads 5.5 amp milwaukee and he...

    1/2" drill talk

what is everyone running for a corded 1/2" drill? i just bought a milwaukee 0234-6. it's a 5.5 amp keyed chuck. anyone prefer keyless chuck over keyed. and 5.5 amp or 8? i know that crash has a milwaukee as seen on the shopcam and bunk has an 8 amp. i would think a 5.5 amp would be better...

    Brushes

i second that milwaukee grinders kick butt. i have a 4" and a 4.5" makita and they both rock. also a 7" milwaukee and that thing is ridiculous. i vote ace for brushes.

    welder tubing bender and notcher

i have a millermatic 210 gmaw. 251 would be nice but i think this is perfect, right in the middle of the 175 and 251. i run a pro-tools 105-HD bender with an electric hydraulic setup and it works awesome. can bend .188 no problem. and i've got the JD2 aluminum notcher. i hear crap about it...

    coming soon

you are definitely improving that rig by a long shot. im not sure if you guys know the history of that rig, but im pretty sure a guy named keith (bns fabrication) in kirkland built it for his brother (sean). it should be 1 5/8" tube if that was him. it competed at goldendale 04 driven by sean...

Help with onboard battery arc welder

i don't see any problem with your power source. and you are welding with 6013, which has furious digging characteristics and it's design is actually to be used in dirty, rusty, or even painted weldments. i would understand if it was dirty and you couldn't get 7018 to run worth a crap. it...

thanks for all the help. since it was a passenger side drop, could i just use a chevy d44? my buddy has one under his xj right now, but hes thinking about abandoning that project. it has disc brakes, ctm joints, cromo shafts. and leaf springs aren't a problem. i wouldnt use the 2wd ones, i...

    International Question

good information to know, thanks. so i'm going to want to find a 4x4 pickup for the 4wd parts? maybe one with a blown motor or something. it seems like these things are hard to come by, so that kind of scares me about parts. is there any other front axle that would work, i dont need a d60...

    International Question

My grandfather has a 1973 International pickup up in ellensburg. i am going to pick it up here pretty soon for a tow-rig. it's 2WD, don't know if it's auto or manual, but i know it has a posi rear-end and the bigger 392 motor. never been wrecked, and has 60k original miles (he's the original...

i have a pair of spy scoop hs's that i used as sunglesses and i busted the ear piece, so i bought some arnette sunglasses. i am thinking about buying clear lenses and fixing the ear piece on my spys. another option is i believe scott is the company that makes the quick slide out lenses. they...
