i use a 13 lincoln for all my welding and i have yet to break a weld, and i usally do 1/4" stuff. which is about the max you need. just crank the heat and slow down the speed. i picked up a welder/cart combo for like $600

the x8000i is alot like a x9000i it has an integrated solonoid on the top of it so it wont actually fit in the space behind the bumper, the top of the bumper needs to be cut inorder to accomodate the winch. look it up at 4wheel parts or something.

i can fab up the mounts to lift the bumper 3" of even take the body lift off, i dont really like it anyway. im just wondering if the bolt patterns are the same for the base, i know in my friends cherokee he had to rotate the clutch 180 degrees, to match up the hole in the bottom of the bumper...

??? does anyone have this setup that i can see before i do it. i also have a 3in body lift so ill have to modify that aswell. PICS I NEED PICS, actually any 84 or 85 pics will do

ok i am thinking about buying a arb bumper for my 84 toyota pickup, is there any way i can put a warn x8000i into it cut it, turn it, anything??? i am sure that some one has done it and i need to know if its possible. if any one has pics of this that has been done it would help as well

hey i got the same truck you have, can you tell me what springs you are planning to use in the rear and what u are doing with your old rear springs. O and did u get a v6 rear, or stay with the original?

im thinking detroits, they may be expensive but they are plug and play, no airlines to plumb, no wires to run. they will just be easier, whats the diffrence between detroit, lock rite, and aussie?

im leaning tward a detriot in the rear and a trutrack up front. for waht i do it will be dependable and ive never had a problem with the detriot. the fron is my main problem. i already cant steer very well and i dont want to make it worse.

yeah im leaning toward macco, durabank is too expensive if i wanted to do my whole truck, rather thick, so it would cost about 400 bucks which is the same as rhino lining or lineX its a shaft if you ask me. as for clearcoat i dont know much beyond rattle can stuff so it will have some one do it...

ok little clarification, i want some one to paint it. cheap. doesnt need to hold its shine, its just going to get all beat up anyway but i want enough layers of clearcoat that it wont bubble. no maco. well maybe but its a last resort.

i agree with the warn compressor idea just dont incooperate it into the winch, OR perhaps they can make the compressor plug into like a milti mount plug, that could be useful.
