So it's the year 2050, what are we gonna see on the trails (not the races)?

Pretty good observation. I will add that the fox dynamics tech or the super car hydraulic shock systems will show up in some form on trail rigs. Both systems keep a vehicle more level

That's the exact thing I posted on the dead Pirate yesterday. Except I used the past tense of 'won'.

    Trail saws

Ryobe 40v here. 14" It's awesome, works really well. The last 6 people to watch me use it went and bought them.

Why are all truck drivers big pieces of ****?

The concept of slowing a truck is laughable to me. It takes a truck longer to slow and longer to accelerate back up to speed and 99% of the time they will be driving all day. If they slowed down or gave cars priority it would cost them hours in wasted time and gas each week. You should be...

Why are all truck drivers big pieces of ****?

I can shed some light.... GPS sucks for big rigs. I am not a truck driver but I've driven my 40' freightliner RV and 28' trailer all over the country. GPS will try to take you places you can't fit or shouldn't be. Especially if its a first time trip, you need to be careful of where you go...

    Electric weedwackers

I am sooo glad I threw my gas trimmer out. I think mine is a Ryobe and I don't regret the move.

    401k

Leave it. It will cost the employer $ so they will encourage you to roll it out. Its an investment, no reason to touch it. If you new job has 401k you can roll it into a new 401k at no charge. dont roll it into a roth. I am doing that now and its total BS. Only ones making out are...

Our KOH Story, Condensed version VIDEO ADDED!!!

Re: Our KOH Story, Condensed version I am passing on Pittsburg TN but I will be at DTOR with the 4400 if it hasn't sold by then. I'm trying my hand at Dirt Riot east series this year. DTOR has been a favorite for me... tree dodging at speed. got a bad compression injury on the main jump...

    Forced air helmets

certainly go carbon if you can swing it. think about every oz of weight multiplied by the forces of an impact. the numbers are astounding when you calculate force.

    Forced air helmets

I hated top. changed to side. It pushed and pulled on my neck very slightly unless the hose was perfect. Distracting and annoying. But nothing stays where it should when your in the paint shaker.

2019 King of the Hammers Schedule

It was called East VS West. the u4 vs SRRS concept is flawed from day one. At KOH you can beat a U4 car up days before the hardest race in the world? In KY when they do it at DTOR, the only U4 guys who run, just finished the Ultra4 race. So after 100 miles of racing... they compete...

    Busted knuckle Gold rush

I am pretty happy for Matt and Jake. You can't be lazy or dumb to go from VHS tapes to a packed shop schedule and drool worthy work.

Can we talk about the 1,000 hp elephant in the room?

My U4 car is 631 at the crank. It's rowdy compared to a lot of the cars. You can hear it/feel it. Over the camp fires I have learned that most people claim 600hp but just arn't there and don't even really know. I know a racer on pushing 800 to the crank and he says it's largely unusable...

    Clayton H. Accident

The car was built in 60 days for KOH '18 so the build pictures were not a priority from day 10-day 60 lol!. Here is what I can find. Look close in some of them to see the mounting points.

I wanted to be upright for visibility. I looked but don't have pictures of the shoulder mounts. I know they are set within that 10 degree spec, Nate followed the Simpson guidelines on the mounting angles.

    Clayton H. Accident

Cool. You have my attention. I hope you keep sharing. Any slow motion of a suspension seat rebounding into the belts vs a hard shell? Any slow motion of a suspension seat in action... like woops at 80mps? I'd like to see why I should toss mine and how they react.

    Clayton H. Accident

Here is my issue with all of this. I really want to learn what will keep me safest but from my experience everyone has an opinion and nobody knows the truth. The owner of ISP is the only guy in the off road industry that I know of who has conducted testing. I was really impressed with...

on these 2 points. - Is 3 or 4 inches a real number or are you just using it for an example? That seams like a lot. that's enough for the shoulder harnesses to come off. - I've seen some scary seat belt angles and have not doubt injury's result. I don't know about the binding, but...
