    43's and hydro assist?

Yeah... it's a work in progress. Also new to leaf springs but I could tell some things weren't correct for sure. My blue buggy was my 1st 4x4 (you sold me my 1st set of reds to go on it) so I'm having growing pains learning about leafsprrings and non toyota axles. The shoulder straps on the...

    43's and hydro assist?

That's what it has. Also new to the tacoma world.

    43's and hydro assist?

No plans yet. Everything is stock other than the axles. 97 taco with a dana 44 up front at the moment. Will run whatever I need to make it correct. If it's a little sluggish that will be ok, it's just going to be a trail ride with heat and ac but if I can make it faster by buying better parts...

    43's and hydro assist?

Looking for opinions from people who have owned rides with hydro assist. Wondering if it is powerful enough for a locked dana 60 and 43's or 40's on a slow crawling trail? Will it push you off a tree if you turn into it like full hydro will? All ive ever ran was full hydro but I would like to...

    Reclining seat options

Picked up a 97 taco with some corbeau baja seats and no seatbelts. Was thinking about getting the corbeau sport seats and throwing in some factory seatbelts and calling it a day. Thought about finding a bar that bolts into the seatbelt holes for 5pt but I plan on making it streetable and I dont...

    EB Customs "JK6"

I've prowled this website for years and I have always thought you have done an incredible job. On par with any professional shop I've seen (I'm no expert). Would love to see you build a full tube chassis tacoma. Would love to see your take on how to bob the bed and exo.

Need ideas. Making my 18' trailer wider.

Yeah Nick I tried to search for some threads but idk if I was just typing in the wrong thing or when I thought I found something photobucket had all the pics taken down... Gotagofast, I think I might just do exactly that, something very similar to leeadman94s setup except without the tubing...

Need ideas. Making my 18' trailer wider.

Purchased an 800 gayzer. With my buggy on the trailer, I can't fit it on without turning it sideways. If "fits" but I can't get the ramps out from under the tires. Have been looking for a 24' trailer but can't seem to find one and new is way more money than I'm looking to spend. I was wondering...

    Hillbilly camper ideas

Camper is turning out really nice. Looking at it from a lazy point of view and also not owning a diesel truck that U-Haul idea is really a good idea... never really thought about them selling their trucks... looks like they are all gas though. Wonder how well they will pull a trailer with a ride...

    Need a stronger Toyota trans

I'm using this plate to mount to my frame. Is the chain driven case the same 7 hole pattern? http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/toyota-off-road-parts/79-95-4runner-hilux-pickup/transfer-case/diy-toyota-transfer-case-crossmember-center-plate.html I bought a marlin short throw shifter for the g52. Is...

    Need a stronger Toyota trans

If I went that route I wouldnt need the adapter because it's not going to any motor but I'd have to redo the transfer case adapter because I'm assuming it's not going to have the same bolt pattern and I can't use my short throw shifter. Seems like the 151 will be more expensive but way less...

    Need a stronger Toyota trans

Na the case is stock. I get the gear reduction from the bike motor being in 1st gear all the time 2.65:1. Gets reduced before it ever makes it to the trans. So the 100ft lbs the motor makes at the crank turns into 265 before it ever makes it to the Toyota trans. (If my math and understand of...

    Need a stronger Toyota trans

I've thought about an automatic but I'd have to figure out how to support the torque converter. Also I'm not really sure of the RPM the pto is spinning so I wouldn't know where to begin on selecting the correct converter. Smells like a lot of money too me. Tbi are you asking if I'm running dual...

    Need a stronger Toyota trans

Thanks for the ToyotaTom. I forget marlin has a forum... Which clutch? No Toyota clutch only bike clutch now. Bike clutch has stronger springs and stays in 1st gear to reduce the strain on the motor, plus its fast enough without needing 2nd. I thought the last one broke because of the weight...

    Need a stronger Toyota trans

Piper made me break my 2nd g52 trans today within an hour of riding. Looks like this trans isn't going to hold up. Is my only option the r150f and r151f??? I don't know much about them but I'm hearing they are stronger. Will they work with my xfer case??

Need g52 Trans for mock up ( to borrow with deposit )

Curious if anyone has a broken Toyota g52 or w56 Trans that is just sitting around I could borrow to build a part for my ride. I could use mine but I'd rather keep it running so I can wheel. Need the Trans so I can drop it off at eagle machine so they can make a plate for the front of it...

    manual tranny bouncer?

I will neeeeeeeeevvvveeeeerrrrr run a manual again. I hate having to mess with a clutch on the side of a hill and every time you hit a rock you have to hurry up and pull in the clutch before it stalls and bla bla bla. Plus if your having to bang out another gear while going up a hill it seems...

What should I expect from coil overs?

This is my 1st build I've ever had and I've never ridden in another buggy that has coil overs so the only thing I can compare mine to is a rzr and it rides a LOT rougher. I'm going to take it to get it tuned up soon but I'm just curious as to what I should expect out of them. If I get going...

    Southern X-Posure - 85 Toyota Truggy

Probably one of my favorite back half designs I've seen. I don't know why but I always like the non-practical agressive look. When you start adding room for coolers and tool bags it starts to look to big in my opinion... it sucks when you run out of beer or tools and have to go back to the truck...
